"This house has been newly renovated. New appliances, new flooring, freshly painted walls. Very modern," the real estate agent said, leading the two men around the small home. The taller of the two picked nervously at a hangnail and chewed on his bottom lip. The shorter, colorful haired one nodded from next to him.

"It's a very nice house. Is that a pool?" He asked, pointing out the back window. The agent nodded, but grimaced at the sight of the pool.

"Yes, but, as I'm required to tell you this... the last owner of the house committed suicide in this house. We aren't allowed to tell you where or how, for... obvious reasons, but just know she did die here," he said, and the quiet boy winces softly. The shorter of the two noticed his friends quick movement and looked at him, then back up at the man.

"Thanks. Can we take a look around here, solo?" He asked, and the agent nodded and left the two boys alone alone. The second boy looked at the other.

"You like it here, Tyler?" A nod, and a nervous look around. "It's nice, isn't it?" His voice had a slightly higher tone, as if the boy was babying Tyler. Tyler hated it when people did that, especially Josh, his best friend. Tyler rolled his eyes.

"Josh, I'm not four years old. Talk to me like I'm an adult," he snapped, and immediately Josh blushes and looks guilty. Tyler sighed, his stomach bubbling with regret.

Ha. You made him feel bad about trying to help you. Look at how awful you make people feel.

"Josh, I'm sorry, I just-"

"I know. It's fine, you're okay," Josh said, and sighed softly before going up a small flight of stairs to their right, leaving Tyler alone. Tyler sighed softly, and wandered around for a bit, trying to get rid of the guilty ache in his stomach, until he was at the back door, staring out at the pool. Tyler opened the sliding glass doors and stepped out onto the porch, walked to the edge of the pool, and then pulled off his socks and shoes and set his feet in the frigid pool water.

He sighed, relaxed, and laid back on his back with his eyes closed and his feet flowing softly in the water. He kept them there, until it felt like his feet weren't even in the water anymore, just floating in some void. That is, until he heard a voice.

"Hey, are your feet clean? This pool is gross enough as it is," a feminine voice says. Tyler jumped and sat up quickly, looking around frantically. "Hey, over here." He turned to see a girl. Maybe his age, a little younger perhaps.

Tall, probably taller than him or just as tall. She was a tad overweight, but nothing extreme. Large breasts, long, curly black hair, a nose ring, and large, straight white teeth. Her smile was a little lopsided, or she could just be smirking at Tyler. Her body movements were awkward.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, stuttering ever so slightly. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her.

"Oh, me?" She asked. She laughed a little before replying, "I live here. Always have, always will." Tyler looked at her, confused.

"B-But... I'm here to come buy the house. How could-"

"Oh, yeah, there's something else I should probably tell you."

"What?"

"Well, I'm-" but she's cut off by Josh walking into the back, looking at Tyler, confusion and concern coating his face.

"Tyler, you okay?" He asked, wondering why Tyler was talking to himself. Tyler nodded.

"Josh, look over there!" Tyler said, pointing frantically to where the girl was. Josh looked, then looked back at Tyler, more confusion and concern on his face.

"What am I supposed to be looking at exactly?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Tyler looked at him, furrowing his eyebrows before looking where she had been.

She was gone.

"No, Josh.... I'm serious. There was... t-this girl! She was here. She said she lived here. Always have, always will," Tyler said frantically. He began to pull at his hair, his breathing becoming rapid.

He thinks you're crazy. You are. I mean, I'm still around. If you were sane, I'd be gone. You're just a creepy, fucked up freak.

"Whoa, whoa, Tyler! It's okay, you're fine. C'mon, let's go talk to Joe. You want this place, right?" Josh said, taking Tyler's hands and pinning them to his sides. Tyler looked in Josh's brown eyes, panic evident in them. But, he still nodded, locking his lips slightly.

"U-Um, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay," he said, nodding. Josh nodded slowly, and led Tyler through the house, and out to Joe, where they both signed some papers and bought the small home.
