*Crawls out of a hole*
I think it's pretty clear that I'm terrible at making promises. So I won't anymore. I know I said that I'll update every 10 days or so but two days later my life always turns into a crap fest and I'm buried in so much crap I can barely reach for my laptop let alone write.
But in my defense I am posting longer chapters! So hopefully you guys are going to forgive me for the late updates c:
Don't forget to vote and comment if you like this chapter. The next chapter will be about cancer.
Those of you who are cancers raise your hand in the comments.
Song: "Blood like gasoline" by Against the current.
The girl released her grip on Sun. He plummeted to the ground, crashing face first against the marble blocks. Before he had the chance to blink, an unseen force knocked him over, sending his body flying across the room.
He landed on his spine on a pile of tar cans. The impact sent the rows of tar filled jars toppling over, the lid of the cans plopped open as they smashed against the ground under his weight. Spilled black ink splattered across the mauve marbled floor. The air became saturated with the smell of fresh tar.
Sun shifted his weight on his elbows, trying to sit up.
Suddenly a dab of tar smeared against the marble structure twitched.
Hera watched the once lifeless globs of heavy fluid come to life right before her eyes. The thick liquid slithered over his shoulders, arching his body down, making his spine slam against the ground. Black ink curled around his ankles and chest like snakes, keeping him rooted to the place.
"Do you have any fucking idea what you're doing?," his scream collided against the blocks of colored stones, the grating voice echoed within the marble walls. "I don't think you do. So let me help you with that," he nearly spat out the words, "you're giving a death sentence to every single being living off of that star."
The girl rolled her eyes, "Over dramatic as usual." The tips of her fingers pressed against her temples, "every single one of those planets are occupied by a bunch of savages and worthless worms. They're a waste of space Sun. We both know that. I'll be doing their worlds a favor by cleaning them off of those insects" she said. Her gaze fixated at glass dome above.
Her eyes unblinking and focused as she stared at the night sky, as if she was searching for something in the dark. Hera could be mistaken, but she thought she saw a beam of light shooting from the infinity for just a millisecond before it disappeared."Ten thousand species Thanatos. How many lives do you think that is?," his voice rose. "Who do you think you are to decide your life is worth more than theirs?"
"To me, my life is worth more than every single being that has ever lived and will live," she said, a fake smile tugged at the corner of her lips before it disappeared. Her face once again vacant. "Judge me all you want. But at the end the day even the noblest of them all thinks the same way."
"Do you have any idea how slow and painful a death caused by thermal radiation can be?," anger bubbled up his throat. The words sounded like knives grating against glass. He was growing more and more desperate by the second. No matter what he said to try to change her mind, his words didn't seem to pierce through the dark eyed girl's thick skin. For every sentence Sun used to try to convince her to stop, she had a retort ready at the tip of her tongue.
"There are worse ways to die," Thanatos didn't seem to give two shits about her brother looking like he wanted he wanted to strangle her, "trust me, I know."
