For some people it's being a lawyer
Or helping others
Being accountable
And normal for their mothers
Or maybe they just love what they do
But let me tell you, anything normal makes me unamused
It's good that you want a safe job
With tough calls
It's good that you want to save the world
When you're called
But when you could write about it
That just tops it off
It's art because you are living through your characters and I am even more excited to believe
When you sing you can feel free
And express the emotions that others will let sink - with the power of attorneys all you need is a rightful degree
That's amazing
But let me tell you when you have a talent to express
There's nothing more to suggest
Being a lawyer takes talent
Or a doctor or anybody who works in business
But when you're on stage
The doctors and lawyers will be able to hear it.
The ambition it takes to sing on a stage
And let the world know you've got what it takes
The glory you feel when you write just to heal
It's beautiful because you know the deal
If you give me a pen and paper
I know, I know I can show you
That what I do is beautiful
And there's beautiful in what I do
If you give me a stage to sing on
God, there's nothing more I'd rather do
Than show you that I can be beautiful too.
