Chapter 11
Aussie Aussie Aussie! I was going back! I packed up a few luggages for my month long vacation and the morning of my departure, which was actually a lot earlier than what I told Michael, my roommates and Grazel dropped me off at the airport. I told Michael that I was visiting for Christmas which was “like next week”, when I was actually arriving that weekend so I had to direct message him back saying that I lied and he had a fit but then got over it when he found out I was getting there sooner.
That probably made no sense, but I’ll explain again I’m just so happy and pumped I get to go home even if I have to face Luke sometime during this month. Okay so I’m going home and I’ll be there till January 3rd, right now it is December 15th. I talked to Michael on Friday the 13th and I’ve been on vacation since the American holiday called Thanksgiving.
“When you land you should Skype us!” Morgan suggested and I nodded, pulling my luggage with me as we all entered the departure wing of the airport.
“But the time differences might be a little harsh.” Julia pointed out.
“Yeah when you get home you should just take a nap and get situated then Skype us.” Grazel smiled toothily and I laughed, these girls are such great friends I’m so lucky to have them.
“I’ll make sure to get whichever boys are around into the Skype call as well.” I informed them and they all let out sounds of joy.
“Man, you’re lucky you can go home.” Julia sighed.
“Not really, I mean it’s sort of just mandatory I guess. My parents made me promise to visit all the time if I were to study abroad and here I am. It’s only a month guys, it won’t be too long I promise. We can talk all the time too because we can be up early or late or whenever since it’s vacation time!”
“Yeah that’s true but I’m probably going to spend this month tweeting and sleeping and eating and that’s it.” Grazel chuckled and we all joined her.
‘Flight 207 boarding in twenty-five minutes. Flight 207, twenty five minutes.’
“Wow there’s me.” I breathed out, glancing at each of the girls’ faces.
“This is going to be so weird, Zel want to fill in Abi’s bed?” Julia questioned the upperclassman and we all burst into laughter.
“I wouldn’t mind, you totally should Zel!”
“Oh my gosh can you, please?”
“Is that even allowed?” Said girl furrowed her eyebrows and we all flailed our arms.
“Who cares!?”
“Yeah you’re right.” She waved us all off, laughing to herself.
“Oh I should probably get my luggage to baggage check. I have to check in.”
“That would be a good idea.” Julia giggled and we headed over to the check in where the employee weighed my luggage and let me keep my carry on which had my laptop, money, and extra clothes along with a few snacks for the trip to LA and then Sydney.
“At this point we have like ten minutes with you now.” Morgan frowned and I rolled my lips into my mouth, trying to keep in my emotions.
