Caroline
I open the door, Marcel sitting at the table, furiously tapping his fingers against it. He instantly looks up, his face full of rage.
"Jesus, Caroline, where have you been?" Marcel stands up, pounding his fists on the table. I flinch.
"I told you I was out on a walk," I whisper, not liking his tone.
"At twelve o'clock?!" His voice raises. I can't argue that.
"Don't get so mad Marcel, I texted you," I begin to grow annoyed at my boyfriend, walking into the bedroom. I slip into one of his T-shirts, taking off my pants.
"I get worried and you know that. You can't just disappear on me," his voice lowers a bit. I frown, knowing I should have let him know. If I were in his place, I would be far more angry than he was.
"I'm sorry. I just needed a little fresh air. I can handle myself, you know that," I walk over to him, pulling him in a hug. He softens a bit, nodding.
"I love you," I smile, kissing his lips as he gets into bed with me.
"I love you too. Now let's get some sleep, huh?"
Klaus
I wake up, the sun shining all too brightly into my eyes. I groan loudly.
"Damnit," I rub my head, standing up, just deciding to take the pain. It won't harm me anyways.
My thoughts recollect from last night. Caroline was here. She came to visit me because she was worried. No ones ever really done that before...
"Nicklaus!" I hear a constant pounding on the door, except this time, the voice isn't sweet and calming.
"One second Rebekah!" I throw on some new clothes to make it look like I haven't slept in until noon and answer the door. While sleeping in was helping on my energy, it wasn't on my busy schedule. She patiently places her hands on her hips when I open the door.
"Well, I see you've finally gotten up," she lets herself in, purposely pushing my shoulder as she does so. I groan at her mad and judgmental voice.
"What's your problem this time?" I ask. Rebekah scoffs, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She has a secret, I can tell, and I want to know it.
"I don't have a problem. And it's none of your business even if I did..." I decide to let her off, not wanting to piss the blonde off even more.
"Well then why have you barged into my apartment?" I question, sinking my fangs into a blood bag. She opens her mouth, then closes it. Finally, she settles on what she's going to say.
"Apparently some of our vampires were murdered last night. I think it might be Marcel's men who did it but I'm not sure. They need you down there," she informs me. I sigh. Of course Marcel would do this. He was probably jealous Caroline left to check on me and wanted revenge. That bastard. I swear, I will show him what real revenge is.
"Just great," With a groan, I follow my sister out of my apartment, making sure to lock it as I leave.
