"I need to tell you something Klaus," Rebekah's weak state manages out. I hear her chains shake as she sits up. My head peeks slightly.

"Whatever it is can't be any worse than this so go on," I mumble. Her breath hitches.

"Promise not to get mad," she whimpers. My eyebrows furrow together in confusion and I sit up a bit more, despite the pain.

"I can't promise anything Rebekah now tell me," I say truthfully. I can almost hear how nervous she was. What was so bad that she she can't tell me?

"Marcel did something... And I helped him," my ears redden at the thought of my sister getting involved with my enemy.

"What did you do Rebekah?" I growl. She whimpers.

"Please Nick-"

"Tell me," I force her, even if I can't see her. She takes in a shaky breath before continuing.

"Caroline... Caroline never loved Marcel," she whispers. What?

"What are you talking about?" I ask, confused. More rage seeps into my voice as I clench my chained fists.

"Let me start from the beginning I guess, but don't get mad. And let me finish," she replies. I nod hesitantly.

"Marcel and I were dating just about two months ago-"

"What?!" I yell. I can almost feel her glare.

"Don't interrupt I said," she frowns. I can't believe what I'm hearing... She lied to me?

"He... He asked me to do something. He wanted to get you back somehow. To make your life as worse as his... He asked me your greatest weakness," she admits. My jaw flings open in awe.

"And you told him, didn't you?"

"Klaus, please-"

"My own flesh and blood went against me!"

"I was never intending things to go this far! I told him if he did this I would have no part in it."

"What did you tell him Rebekah?" No answer.

"WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM?!" I yell as loud as I can. She jumps slightly, the chains rattling.

"I told him about Caroline... How she was the only one you loved. I told him where to find her and I helped him capture her and bring her back to New Orleans," she cries. The sentence alone makes me want to go over and rip Marcel's throat out, making Rebekah watch. How could she do this? Caroline must have been so afraid... So confused... My heart aches for the woman.

"Klaus-"

"Tell me the rest," my voice is unusually low, scaring my sister.

"He kept her in chains and made me compel her that she was in love with him and was staying with him for a few months before returning to college. The next morning she saw you and the rest you know," she informs me. I stay silent, processing everything that I've been told. It was all too much.

Caroline was forced to love Marcel. She was forced to leave college and her life behind just so that bastard could get revenge. And my own sister helped him.

"Are you still with him?" My abnormal tone doesn't change.

"No, I ended things when I realized he was too far in. He went on dates with the girl just to piss you off, he slept in the same bed and told her I love you and-"

"STOP!" I yell suddenly. I can't take it. Caroline was out there with this monster, him holding her in his arms... Touching her... And she doesn't even truly know the guy.

"Nick please. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for things to go this far. Truly I-"

"Don't talk to me. You are no longer family. You chose your side, now be a good pet for the man who doesn't even love you and only uses you for leverage and back off."

I lay back down on the cold concrete, listening to Rebekah's soft sobs and whimpers. But the only thought that ran through my mind was how I was going to tell the most innocent girl that the man she thought she's loved had compelled her to.
