Christina had arrived while we were outside. As did Cat. I opened the door, burgers in hand, and saw her in the living room, talking with everybody. I set the plate on the island with the buns, toppings, and condiments, and went to greet her.

"Hey, how was the trip?" I ask, after giving her a side hug.

"Good. Long, but good. It's nice to finally be here, and just in time for dinner. I totally forgot about lunch, and figured I missed the get together here." She said.

"Nah", I assure her. "We got a bit of a late start. Sam's on his way in, then we'll start plating."

On cue, Sam steps through the door, and puts the spatula in the sink.

"There he is now." I say, smiling. I wave at him as he turns around. "Sam! Look!" I say, excited.

He smiles. "Oh hey! You're Christina!" He says. She beams, nodding her head in answer, and they do a one armed hug. "Nice to finally meet you." He tells her when they seperate.

"I'm so hungry, I think I'm dying." Colby loudly announces.

"Oh, right. Everybody can go ahead and make their plate now." I say, and we start forming a line.

We all sit around the table to eat, then migrate to the living room, where we play wii games, and then I teach everybody how to play Werewolf (it's like mafia, I've been told, but different.)

One of the cards is the 2 of hearts, Cupid. Which means that person picks two people to be The Lovers, and if one of the pair is 'killed' they're both dead.

Lucy's favorite role in this game, after I explained it to her, is the narater. She takes the roll seriously. We're all 'asleep', heads bowed and eyes closed, but I can picture her now, pacing around the room to desguise her movements, hands clasped behind her back.

"Now, I will walk around everybody, and if I tap your head, you are one of the lovers. I have consulted with Cupid, and they have told me their decision." As she talks, she walks by me, and I feel her tap my head like we're playing duck duck goose.

I hear her reach the other side of the room. "Now, on my mark, only the lovers open your eyes, and gaze upon your new soul mate. Okay, go." She snaps her fingers, and I look up quickly.

And my eyes lock with Sam's.

"Got it? Know your lover, defend them with your life, but, you know, be inconspiculous about it. Okay, sleep." She snaps her fingers.

She continues with the explaination, explaining The Huntsman ( Ace of spades, if he gets 'killed' or falsely convicted of being a werewolf, he has an arrow, with which he can kill one person on his death blow), Witch (5 of clubs, each round is told who will die, and is equiped with ONE healing potion, and has to choose who to save) Fourtune Teller (gets to ask each round if somebody is or is not a werewolf. Helps in accusations, but again, you can't reveal it), Peeping Girl (reserves the right to peek with one eye durring werewolf kill descussions, but cannot be seen, or will be killed), Werewolves (3 of them, all Jacks, get to pick somebody to kill each night.) And the Ice Cream Man. (2 of diamonds, for some reason gets to deliver ice cream to one person a night). There's also The Ballerina, who we don't have enough players to use tonight, but they get to preform a dance at night, which only the people who have died or been condemned get to witness. That kinda makes it worth it.

After she explains it all, the first night begins.

"Werewolves, awake" she claps, and three of us look up silantly.

I am one, and look around to see Sam and Ally are too. We silantly debate who to attack, and quickly agree. Lucy points at the person to comfirm, and we all nod our heads. Then we are clapped asleep, and the other cards do their thing.
