"You were talking in your sleep again."

It was probably closer to screaming than talking.

I glanced up at TOP from the bed.

"Sorry."

I sighed lightly.

Every time I fell asleep, I would suddenly feel the covers over me, brushing against my face, and it was like I was drowning all over again, and I would panic and beg for relief, until I woke myself up.

And TOP and GD, unfortunately. Their hideout consisted of a small, and I mean small, run down cabin of a house on the outskirts of town, closer to the Double Dragon's base than Bangtan's.

It was cozy, but unfortunate in that we could hear everything that everyone was doing always.

And I do mean every single thing.

I had been in their hideout for 6 weeks now. I had told them after the first week that I could go, but they insisted on making me rest and heal.

"You can't cause as much trouble when you're injured," GD would say with a cheeky smile.

I was slightly relieved, as their insistence was also an excuse for me to put off confronting Namjoon and the others.

I still had no idea what would happen. They had to be mad, right?

They were so different from the boys. Maybe it was because these guys were only thieves, they weren't in a gang so there wasn't much of a rule system with them. They were much freer and more consistently easy going than the boys were.

"Hey, you've got that look on your face again."

GD quickly appeared next to TOP. "You mean the almost pathetic one?"

TOP snapped his fingers. "Yep, that's exactly the one."

I rolled my eyes, sticking my tongue out at them.

"There's a small spec of sass I detect. Not nearly enough to be like the Sin that I knew."

Another eye roll in response.

"Remember when we first met her, TOP?"

I groaned as they began to speak loudly to each other.

They didn't even need to raise their voices, as I could've heard them if they were outside; it was for dramatic effect.

"Why yes, I do. She was patronizing B-Free as he punched her."

"Man, what a girl. I had the urge to marry her right then and there, seeing her so strongly resist his attempts at wounding her personality."

I snorted to cover up the light hiccup of surprise hearing that.

"Me too honestly. Such a fiery personality it was."

"Fuck off." I smiled a bit, knowing they were only doing this to rile me up and return the spark of insolence in my worn out brain.

They grinned at me, obviously succeeding.

"Yes, I think she's ready to go now."

"Only if she promises to keep in touch!"

I grinned at them.

In all honestly, we all know I could have left anytime I really wanted.

But I rather wanted to stay, and not just to avoid the potentially messy confrontation with Bangtan.

I'd grown to like these boys, as strange and quirky as they were. It was endearing, in a way.

If I had an older brother, they'd be like his friends, with just the right amount of brotherly affection and friendly flirting to make me feel loveable and protected.

The bruises had mostly faded, and I could move my thumbs pretty easily, though they were still a little sore.

The cuts were still painfully present, but they were slowly healing.

It was about time I left. I had overstayed my welcome, even though they had insisted that I should stay longer.

"Well, that will be kind of hard, but I'll do my best."

GD raised his eyebrow.

"That's not good enough! You have to."

"I'm sure you'll be able to do it."

I looked at them rather warily.

"I mean, we can meet up outside, but it can't be very often, I'm sure the Double Dragon is after me now, more than ever."

I suddenly felt an uneasy feeling creep up my stomach.

"You guys can't follow me when I leave...."

They looked away innocently, and my chest tightened.

"I'm serious. I know the Double Dragon is huge and it's easier to sneak in, but Bangtan is a different story. It's obscure. It's very small, tight knit, and they'll know the second you step within 10 feet of the hide out."

They seemed to be considering what I was saying, so I stood up and walked over to them.

"I'm serious. They will actually kill you. They don't play around with that shit."

They nodded, and I groaned, only hoping they they would listen to me.

I grabbed my bag - they had snuck back to the Double Dragon's base to grab it while I slept - and turned to face them.

I nodded, turning to leave, but TOP grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug.

I pretended to be irritated, but I hugged him tightly and didn't resist when GD held his arms out to me for a hug of his own.

With that proper goodbye, I made my way out of their home through the back, careful to slink around so that no one knew where I came from.

I knew I shouldn't go to Bangtan's base until night, in case anyone might see me; I also didn't want to face them just quite yet.

I decided to go to Bobby's spot first, to check him out and see if I could get any clues as to what the Double Dragon was doing.

I got there quickly enough, using crowded streets to avoid detection.

I made it there pretty easily, and, though my guard was up of course, I started to relax my body a little.

I crept up behind him, close, but not close enough for his amateur senses to notice me.

I was going to walk around him, scanning the area for anyone else before leaving.

"Sin?!" And my cover was blown.

Bobby turned at the mention of my name, but I was faster.

My knife was lodged in his neck within seconds, and I stared down numbly as I pulled my knife back, letting his now stiff body fall to the ground.

I wasn't planning on killing him too, damnit.

I mean, he had watched B-Free torture me, completely fine with it, impressed and satisfied even.

Still, he was just a stupid kid.

I leaned down and wiped the knife clean on his shirt before pocketing it and turning just in time for Namjoon to slam me against the wall of the alley.

"So it is you, Sin."
