a cold breeze brushed against my skin as water dripped down onto the floor from my hair. when i looked to where the cold air was coming from, i realized that my window was slightly tilted. wrapped in my towel, i closed the window. after my gaze diverted to my clock, saying it was only seven, i realized i still had some time left before i had to head for school.

i changed into my uniform when i suddenly thought of jungkook and what he said yesterday. i still couldn't believe that kid fell in love with jiyoon. i mean, yeah, jiyoon is amazing, but it somehow gave me a strange feeling. it wasn't jealousy though. maybe it was fear because if he confesses and jiyoon doesn't like him back, our whole friendship would turn awkward. i didn't want that to happen. no one wants that, but i still think he should confess. i didn't say it just to seem like i was giving him a good advice. who gives up has already lost, right? now that i think of it, aren't jungkook and i in the same situation? in love with a good, if not, best friend... pretty similar.

i didn't realize how my thoughts suddenly went to taehyung, but they did. somehow, everything comes back to him. i didn't know for how long i've thought of taehyung, but the voice of my mother interrupted my tale to wonderland.

"seoyeon? are you still there? it's already quarter to eight!" my eyes widened. we missed the bus and school starts in ten minutes! i quickly took my bag, went downstairs, telling my mom goodbye. i didn't have time to ask her why she was already awake. i put my shoes on and opened the door, ready to run my way there. i didn't want to be late.

i suddenly jerked to a halt when i heard a familiar voice call out for my name. i made my way to him, smiling brightly. and at that point, you must have already guessed who it was.

"hey, taehyung," i greeted him happily. "where is jungkook?" taehyung told me he already left since i was late and the good boy he is, didn't want to be late. a sudden pink tone creeped up my cheeks when i realized taehyung actually waited for me and didn't go ahead.

"seoyeon," he called my name again, sending shivers down my spine. "y-yes?" my voice came out more fragile than i intended to, almost fake. he cleared his throat. "uhm, your shirt isn't tucked in properly." my gaze shifted from him to my shirt and only then i realized a part of my shirt wasn't tucked in my skirt.

"could you turn around?" i asked taehyung. "why-" "just turn around!" he did as told and i quickly put my shirt under the skirt, double-checking that i did it properly. "you can turn around again," i allowed him. his eyes went from my head to toes. "better," he said, grinning.

how embarrassing.

"w-we should hurry up or else we'll be late," i said, still red because gosh, this whole situation was quite embarrassing. the perks of getting embarrassed easily.
