i let out a heavy sigh and dragged my feet to that room. the detention room. school was over and everyone of our class was dismissed, with the exception of jungkook, jiyoon and me of course. the room wasn't filled with a lot of students, but a few were already there, either doing their homework or just drawing something.

taehyung was sitting in the second row, having reserved three additional seats for us. i sat down next to him, making up excuses for myself. "because jiyoon and jungkook should sit next to each other" but it's probably obvious i just wanted to sit next to taehyung. jungkook was to my right so i could help him with that math problem though since i had promised him i'd help. i explained a few basic things until i went into detail and he slowly started to understand everything little by little.

i gave him a few additional problems to solve, so that i could see if he really understood everything. i then began doing my homework, but taehyung interrupted me. "seoyeon~ i'm bored." he pouted, making me chuckle. he was such a kid sometimes. "how about doing your homework?" i suggested, but he just answered with a firm "no". after a while of thinking, taehyung seemed like he came up with something. he took a college book out of his book and borrowed a pencil from me. i watched the scenario that happened in front of my eyes confused. first, he wrote down the date, then he scribbled something down on the paper.

"song writing," he mumbled. "you want to write a song with me?" i asked and he replied with a rhetorical question. "why? you don't want to?" "i want to! what do you want to write about?" "well," he trailed off. "that's what i hadn't thought of yet."

and with that, we began thinking of what we could write about. as we still hadn't an idea of something, i thought about asking someone else. "should we ask jung-" "no," he interrupted me when i hadn't even finished speaking yet. "the song... i want it to be our secret. don't tell anyone, especially not jungkook." "what, why?" i asked, not knowing why i shouldn't tell anyone 'especially not jungkook', but taehyung didn't answer to my question, instead, he just said one word pensively. one word i wasn't expecting him to say in that moment. it was "love". he was looking somewhere else, to the right, but not to me. before i could ask him what he meant with that, his gaze wandered to me again, and he said: "we could write a love song."

and with that, it was decided. we were going to write a love song. after we decided on the main topic- which was "break-up", we started writing down everything we could think of, starting with the lyrics. no idea if it's a good plan to write a love song with one's crush, but oh well.

we were thinking and writing our thoughts downy. at a certain point, both of us were so immersed into it, we almost didn't hear the teacher telling us we could go home now.

"guys, we have to hurry," jiyoon reminded us. "oh right!" the four of us took our school bags and hurried to the bighit building. it wasn't very far from our school, so walking seemed like the best option. it didn't even took us fifteen minutes of walking and we were already there. we went to the room in which bang sihyuk ceo does all the paper work and told him why we were late and apologized. after that, we headed to the dance practice room again as he instructed us to do so. all the other trainees were already there.

approximately ten minutes passed and our ceo finally came into the room full of nervous trainees. we greeted him and sat down as he began talking. "i think you know why you are here. so, i have news about the new boy group. the name will be "bangtan sonyeondan" and "bts" in short."

silence filled the room, probably because everyone, including myself, was taken aback by the weird name. bangtan sonyeondan. really? bulletproof boy scouts? i couldn't help but wonder how he came up with that name.

"i already picked three members who will promote in bangtan sonyeondan," he then continued, giving us a second shock. "namjoon, seokjin and yoongi. you three will be given extra lessons from today on. got it? you can continue training now." and with that, he exited the room, leaving us speechless.

namjoon, yoongi and seokjin were already discussing a lot of topics. everyone went to congratulate the three boys when suddenly someone came into the room. we firstly greeted him, not knowing who he was until he introduced himself as son seongdeuk, the choreographer of the future group. he told up he'd be an influence to who will enter the final line up of the group and that he'd like to see everyone's - except jiyoon's and mine of course - dancing skills, so that he had a first impression.

jiyoon and i had to exit the room and go to our individual lessons. she had vocal lessons now, while i had dance practice with mrs. han, so i headed to the second dance practice room. i always try to choreograph the dances on my own, but of course she corrects a few moves and tells me what i can do to make it better until the evaluation. we're evaluated every month to show the ceo what we learned in a whole month.

mrs. han came into the room with a smile and after we greeted each other, she immediately asked me to show her my choreography to the song she told me to dance to. i turned the music on, waiting a few seconds until i started dancing, completely focused on my steps.

"don't do a mistake. don't do a mistake," i told myself as i was dancing. i was so concentrated, yet i ended up doing two, three mistakes i've never made before. it's been always like that. i can't dance in front of others although i'm actually not shy. maybe it's the pressure, maybe nervousness... i don't know.

the song ended and i panted a little bit since the choreography was quite tiring and required a lot of stamina. i looked over to mrs. han.

"you did it again, seoyeon." i nodded. "you think too much about doing mistakes and forget having fun. your dance moves were really smooth, but if you become an idol and dance with such a "don't-do-mistakes" face, the audience will feel burdened and won't have a lot of fun. understood?" i responded with a loud "yes" and the dance practice went on.

i repeated the dance again and again, until the practice finally came to an end. mrs. han left the room after encouraging me. she told me to go home and rest, but i didn't have enough energy left, so i just sat down on the cold ground. i almost fell asleep if it wasn't for taehyung who called my name. i turned my head to the door where taehyung was standing.

"you didn't go home yet?" he asked with a raspy voice. i shook my head. "why aren't you home yet?" he didn't reply to my question, but dragged me into the studio room instead.

"what are we doing here?" i questioned him again and again. he just ignored me, took his college block out of his bag. "i want to finish the song," he said, grinning at me. "you could've just told me instead of dragging me here and not saying a word... and it's 7pm already. my mom is waiting for me at home."

"i don't care," he just said. "but-" "please?" here come the puppy eyes. i diverted his gaze, looking elsewhere. "taehyung, don't-" i accidentally glanced at him and told myself not to get soft, but tell me how not to...

"fine, okay! but please stop with that face."
