"Seoyeon, what are you doing?," Jungkook asked after he had pulled away.

Only then, I realized what I was actually doing.

I kissed Jungkook.

I kissed him.

"Jungkook... I-I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking," I apologized. I clenched my fists and bit my lower lip, feeling nothing but guilt inside of me.

That's... considered cheating, right?

"Seoyeon," Jungkook stood up. "I think you should go, Seoyeon... Don't worry, I won't tell him," he smiled at me faintly.

There it is again. His faked smile.

His faked smile that hides away his true feelings, his sadness.

"Jungkook..." I turned my head to him and locked my gaze with his, staring into his dark brown eyes that stared right back into mine. "I don't want to go yet," I said.

Jungkook let out a chuckle and pinched my cheek with his and after a while... "Let's play something," he suggested hesitatingly.

"Play something?," I asked and he nodded. "Sure." I shrugged.

"Rock, paper, scissors. The rules will be the same as always, but," Jungkook grinned at me. "The winner of every round gets to ask a question," he explained and I nodded again in response.

"1, 2, 3, rock, paper, scissors!," we chorused together and quickly decided what to choose.

I diverted my eyes from Jungkook to his fist, meanwhile I had my hand flat.

"I won. You always tend to choose stone in the first round," I said and stuck my tongue out and he just laughed at me. "Hmm... my question is... how are you?," I asked and that must have been the most stupid question I've ever asked him.

"I'm fine," Jungkook said. "Now that you're here with me, I feel much better." His words made me blush and I swear I felt my heart skip a beat at his sweet words that rang out in my ears. "Next round. I won't lose to you this time," he said enthusiastically, interrupting my thoughts.

"1, 2, 3, rock, paper, scissors!"

Jungkook mouth formed into a grin, realizing that I chose paper again and he threw out scissors.

"While I tend to choose stone in the first round, you tend to choose the same one you did in the first round," he said. It was only then when I realized that it really was like that. I always chose the same object as I did in the first round. I should really get out of that habit if I want to win against Jungkook the next time.

"And your question is?," I asked curiously.

Jungkook hesitated, diverting his gaze elsewhere. "I don't know if I should ask this," he said, leaning back with his arms supporting him.

"Just do it," I said and I could already feel the tension getting awkward.

Jungkook took my hand and wrapped his big hand around mine. I flinched at his cold body temperature. "Seoyeon, do you...do you love me?," he asked quietly, catching me off-guard.

I began to stutter, "J-Jungkook..."

"Answer me, Seoyeon," he demanded. "Do you love me?," he repeated, this time, he sounded desperate.

"I... don't know," I answered, gritting my teeth. "I don't know... I'm... sorry."

Jungkook sighed softly. "You don't know or you don't want to tell me?," he asked.

"I don't know," I answered. "I really don't."

Jungkook stood up. "Go home and... think about it, Seoyeon," he told me. "It's getting late anyways. Should I walk you home?"

"No... it's okay. I'll go by myself... See you, Jungkook," I said before standing up too. I grabbed my purse and made my way to the door but before I opened the door, I turned to Jungkook again who was walking behind me. "Promise me, you'll have proper meals from now on." He nodded. "Well then... good night, Jungkook," I wished, opening the door.

"Good.. night," he replied and I closed the door behind me.

I rushed down the stairs and his parents asked me once again if he was okay and I told them to not worry too much because he seems quite fine, plus he promised me to eat something. Though, I said to give him time to come out of his room and fortunately, his parents agreed. I said goodbye to them and left the house.

It was already dark outside and although the beautiful moon was illuminating the dark city, everything seemed so dark to me. Even the street lamps weren't as bright as usual.

But that was only my imagination.

I fastened my steps and headed home. Mom must be worried. Or maybe she's still not back from work? I don't know.

As I was walking to my home, I had to think about numerous things.

"Do you love me?"

Do... I love him? I placed my hand on my heart, trying to figure out my heartbeat. Does my heart beat faster for Jungkook? Does my heartbeat fasten when I think about him?

Does that even mean that I love him, when my heart starts to beat faster in his presence? Or when he crosses my mind?

I tried to concentrate on my heartbeat, shutting down the surroundings around me.

1, 2, 3, 4...16, 17, 18-...

"Seoyeon," someone called out for me and I looked up, surprised.

"T-Taehyung..," I stuttered upon seeing him standing in front of me.

He walked toward me, gripping my shoulders. "Do you know how worried I was? You just ran off without telling me a thing!," he almost shouted.

"Sorry..," was the only thing that came out of my mouth.

"Seoyeon... you went to Jungkook's house, right?," he asked. I gulped. "Did... something happen to him?"

I clenched my fists, thinking about if I should tell him or not. He'll just feel guilty again.

But... I have to, right?

"Jungkook... he hasn't eaten properly. And today, he c-collapsed and his mother called me," I tried to explain.

"He what!?," Taehyung asked in shock. "W-why? Why didn't he eat? Why would he do such a thing?"

I hesitated to answer but eventually, I did. "Because of us, Taehyung," I said. "It's because of us. It's because the two of us are together. But it's my fault."

"Seoyeon, listen. It's not your fault. He-"

"Taehyung, it is my fault! If only I didn't set his hopes up high, this wouldn't have happened! If only I did no-" I was interrupted as Taehyung crashed his lips on mine and for a while, I forgot everything around me and everything that happened today. I didn't think of anything but then... I remembered Jungkook again and pushed Taehyung away.

"Seoyeon..."

"Taehyung... I'm sorry..." I took a deep breathe, trying to find the courage to speak out the 4 words.

"Let's break up."
