Jungkook has been avoiding Taehyung and me for two days now. Despite me, wanting to apologize, he would deign to look at me and would just walk past me. He did the same to Taehyung and everyone else. Taehyung told me that Jungkook even moved out of the dorm, temporarily of course, and wouldn't talk to anyone.
Yesterday was the last time I talked to Jungkook and I really miss having conversations with him. He's my best friend after all. I might not love him that way but I love him as a friend, he's still important to me and it hurts how he's avoiding me.
I don't know what to do. I don't know what I have to do for him to talk to me again. I don't even know if he'd ever do but I hope so.
He wouldn't just like... never talk to me again, right?
I quickly shrugged these negative thoughts away. I shouldn't make things up. Eventually, he will stop avoiding me, right? Right.
"Ow!," I exclaimed as I accidentally hit my forehead against a door. I rubbed my forehead with my hand, trying to ease the pain. How can someone be so deep in thoughts to not realize a door in front of her?
I looked around to see if someone saw me just now and fortunately, I didn't see anyone around. That would have been quite embarrassing.
I noticed that the door I just bumped into was the door to the room we had our monthly evaluations in. Does that mean... oh, please not...
I opened the door and everyone looked at me and tried to hold their laughs in but Jimin eventually bursted out laughing and the others followed him.
Why do the doors have to be transparent anyways?
"You know, it's not that funny, it actually hurt quite a lot," I told them but they didn't hear me as I actually muttered it under my breath. I sat down next to Taehyung and realized that Jungkook was nowhere to be found. I looked around for a second time to see if I just missed him but he wasn't in sight. "Jungkook's not here?," I asked Taehyung.
He was in school though, although he ignored me the whole time...
"I think he just skipped the evaluation, not sure though," Taehyung sighed and I just nodded.
Jiyoon beside me listened to the conversation and then whispered, "What happened with Jungkook?"
"I'll tell you later," I answered.
The door opened and Bang SiHyuk CEO came in. We all stood up and bowed to him before sitting down again. "So, we'll start the monthly evaluation. Is everyone here?," he asked.
"Jungkook is missing," Namjoon called out and Bang SiHyuk CEO nodded.
"Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung, you're not going to get evaluated today since you are preparing for your debut already. So, only Seoyeon and Jiyoon will get evaluated. Furthermore, since we had to delay your debut due to Jungkook hurting his ankle, we set the debut day on the 13th of june this year, of course. I know, it's about 3 months from now but we still have to retake a scene of the music video and Mr. Son told me that you guys still lack in power, so it will be the best for you."
Everyone had a disappointed reaction. I can't blame them though, they were actually set to debut a week or so ago if Jungkook didn't hurt his ankle.
"So, we'll start the evaluation in a few minutes but before that, I've got to tell you something." Everyone rose their head and gave him their full attention. "Big Hit Entertainment decided to do an overseas casting. Bangtan Sonyeondan will debut soon, leaving Seoyeon and Jiyoon the only BigHit trainees. We're especially aiming for girl trainees but boys will have the chance to audition too. That was it already. Let's move on to the evaluation."
Overseas casting, huh... that kind of reminds me that I'm still a trainee, just a trainee. I don't even know if I'll get to debut in the future...
"Let's start with you, Seoyeon."
I walked to the front, nervous as I bit my lower lip anxiously. I always feared the monthly evaluations since Mrs. Han once told me they can get me out of Big Hit Entertainment due to a bad result.
"You may start," Bang SiHyuk CEO gave me the sign and I nodded. Silence filled the air once again as they had to be quiet while a camera, positioned at the wall, filmed the evaluations.
The music was played and I started to count in my head.
3...2...1
I started my first steps and soon, I was no longer scared. I just let my body do what I loved: dance. A smile plastered my face as I enjoyed myself and forgot about the results for a moment. I just danced, passionately. The last steps were especially difficult, so I focused a lot on them.
Once the music has ended, an instrumental filled the room. It was then, I regretted to choose dancing first and then vocal. It was a little hard to breathe as I lost a bit of stamina after dancing. I quickly caught up my breathe and started to sing with the Instrumental. I didn't practice my vocal task like I practiced my dance task since I had more confident in my vocals than my dance but after looking back, I really should've practiced my vocal task too.
The music slowly faded and my performance ended with a high note going lower little by little.
I quickly bowed and then returned to my seat as everyone clapped. It was now Jiyoon's turn. I saw her dancing her choreography to "I am the best" once again and it got me stunned for the second time already and her vocal task was no exception. It felt like a perfect performance from an already debuted idol.
When Jiyoon came back, I clapped for her extra loud and she sat down next to me.
Bang SiHyuk CEO wrote something down on his paper that was tucked on his clipboard. He looked at it for a moment before giving us the results. "Seoyeon, your dancing was really good, unless last time. You improved a lot. Your dance moves are much sharper and detailed now. For your vocal task, it didn't really meet my expectation, to be very honest, because I know you are better than this. I'm not saying it was bad but it wasn't good either."
"Thank you," I said, nodding my head and he moved on to Jiyoon.
"For Jiyoon it was the contrary. Your voice really fitted the song and it showed the best of your abilities. For the dance I think there's still something lacking. You have to have fun when you dance. It would look much better. The audience would enjoy it much more."
But Jiyoon's dance was perfect in my eyes...
But well, he must know what he speaks of. He's in the music industry for years now.
"So, the evaluations are finished. You can go home now and rest now. Ah, but Taehyung and Seoyeon, come with me to the office please," he said and I looked to Taehyung, surprised.
Did we do something?
"Okay," Taehyung replied. We said goodbye to the others and went out of the room with Bang SiHyuk CEO.
What did he want from us?
