(Sorry for the delay, was really busy! Enjoy the rest of the chapter :) )

Silence was between the three of us for a while; exchanging looks from Sarah to her boyfriend. Sarah sighed from boredom and said,

“How do you know him?”

I literally didn’t know how to answer, as I didn’t remember how exactly I knew him. But I answered with “He’s my best friend.” I looked at him a sort of disgusting look. He looked at the ground, ashamed of himself I can tell. But it was too shocking for me. Why didn’t he tell me? he was dating my SISTER! And he never mentioned it. I was deceived by him. For a second, I thought I was dreaming. Yes, this couldn’t be real! How did Jake know Sarah? And how did she know him? Everything and everyone seemed related somehow in a world I couldn’t comprehend. But I was positive that there was something wrong.

“Christina, you need to go home.” Sarah advised me.

I looked at her disappointingly, studying her from up to down. Then I looked away and said “Not until I understand everything.”

Sarah turned to me and strictly said “This isn’t understandable, Christina! You’re responsible for this. You did all that.”

“I don’t understand!” I shouted confusingly.

“Leave, Tina. Please.” Jake asked me in a pathetic voice.

With tears running down my  cold cheeks, I took a deep breath, looked at him and said “I’ll leave. And you won’t see me ever again, Jake.”

I gave them my back and started moving and I heard him say “It’s not your choice, Christina.”

Too confused, too puzzled; I looked at my sister in the eye and said “I can change that.”

I quickly left the house, heading to my car. I was confused, shocked and disturbed. It started raining; perfect timing with my indescribable state. Crying with the sky, that’s what I was doing; Sky was crying, and so I was. Something was completely wrong, but I think I was too naïve to think, or even find a solution. While driving in that heavy rain and blur, I kind of heard meowing; yes, meowing. I was distracted, thinking that it was just my imagination. But the meowing increased, I turned on the car’s light to see what was that; I turned behind me, looking at the backseat..to find a cat, a dark grey or black cat, its eyes were green and creepy, I cried in shock and attempting to hit the brakes, but I missed it. And all I could feel that the car flipped into the air and fell crashed. I couldn’t somehow feel my legs, my head was badly hit. I looked around me to see the cat, but it was gone. Blood was pouring from my head, I couldn’t see well too, I was blacking out. Last thing I could remember was that somebody pulled me out from the car and held me in his hands. Before I fainted, I tried to recognize his face. It was Derrick Thomas, the annoying science-lab partner…who rescued me.
