"Screw you, Mark." you hiss, grabbing your coat and heading out of his dressing room where he stands still, yelling your name. "Y/n! Y/n!" you hear his urgent screams behind you as you continue your fast paced walk in need of finding the nearest exit.

His footsteps are heard behind you as he starts to walk faster, picking up to a jog, when you spot a door that leads to the outside of the arena that Mark is performing at tonight.

You're pushing the door open when a familiar hand grasps your upper arm, pulling you away from the door before spinning you around. Ice cold eyes stare down at you as you try and shove him away, trying to loosen his grip on your arms, knowing it's impossible considering he is twice your size, but trying anyway.

"Can you please not do this? I don't want to fight. I literally have to go on stage in thirty minutes. I'm not going to be able to perform my best or concentrate-"

"You are seriously worried about your performance level right now? The only reason you are concerned about this fight is because you are worried it's going to throw off your stage game? Seriously, Mark?"

"Y/n..." he sighs.

You shove his large frame one final time, managing to loosen his grip, before turning and making it outside, the cool air contrasting with the temperature of your hot face.

When the door clasps closed behind you, you're not sure if you're happy Mark is giving you time to breathe or if you're upset that he done trying to fight with you, obviously seeing as his show is more important at the moment.

After pacing for a minute or two, you find yourself staring at a poster of your boyfriend, plastered across the side of the building across the street, advertising the concert that is happening tonight.

This is his dream, it always has been: to tour, sell out tickets to his show like the one you currently sit outside of.

The anger inside of you slowly starts to perish as you remember what you have seemed to have forgotten until now. This is his dream. Nothing will ever come close to the feeling and rush he gets from being on that black stage that sits tiny in comparison to the huge hall that surround it.

You know he loves you. He loves you for many things but foremost: you understand his job. He might not always be having the best day, yet he goes onto that stage to make thousands of people smile.

How could you argue with that? How could you put him down for wanting to make people feel the same sensation you do when you watch him perform?

And while you can still remember why you were mad at Mark five minutes ago, you know it no longer has an an effect on your decision on whether to stay for the show or not.

You quickly head back inside, passing guards who just smile your way, obviously recognizing you. Instead of standing in the wings like you usually do, you head for the set of seats Mark and his opening act, who were 5quad always leave open for guests who visit them while on tour.

The show has already started, and the crowd is going crazy, so crazy they don't notice you as you take a seat beside Edwin's girlfriend, Kylee, who waves at you before greeting you with a hug.

A few guards are around you guys in case you are spotted and things get a bit hectic, but that is the farthest thing from your mind as your eyes find Mark on stage who is taking the time to glance to where you would usually be standing near the side of the stage.

He runs a hand over his face, obviously lost deep in thought somewhere else while it's Zachs turn to sing in their new collab.

"This next song is called 'right move' Sing along if you know it." Mark speaks into the mic, music following along with screams.

Right as Nick starts singing, Mark's eyes are wandering the crowd, you standing on the tips of your toes, begging for him to notice you in order to know that you're still here, that you haven't went anywhere.

Almost as if he can hear your silent screams, his eyes meet yours, mouth wide open, strumming his .

It's almost like you guys are in slow motion as he starts to smile, clearly happy with your decision to stay. "I love you." you mouth.

His right eye falls into a wink before he's turning back around and heading for his mic stand in order to sing his part that is soon coming.

Never again, if you could help it, would you doubt Mark Thomas' love for you just because of his passion to perform.
