Cookie P.O.V one week later

"Can't believe you got him to come to this" Tiana admits as we walk up to our table at Grenades.

"He's been having a hard time T. This dinner together will bring him back I promise" I say.

"Hey tiana" mal greets.  Skye stands to give Tiana a hug along with Rhonda and dre.

"Yall already ordered?" T asks taking off her coat and sitting down across from Keem. He doesn't acknowledge her existence as he looks through the menu.

"Nah not yet" Lu replies before pecking my cheek.

"Mhm so guys , this is fun right?We haven't had an all adult dinner like this since before my grand babies were born" I comment looking through my menu.

"Yeah that seems like forever ago. I can't believe the twins and Xavier are already walking" Skye adds.

"It's crazy how things can change in a year" Tiana comments kinda referring to her marriage with keem. Mal clears his throat then looks down silence engulfing us.

"What's that supposed to mean" Keem speaks up for the first time.

"Nothing Hakeem. Just that a lot has changed" T says looking him in the eyes as the waiter walks up to our table.

"Hello.. Um can I get your order " she says nervous taking her notepad out.

"Hi... Jennifer " I say reading her name badge. "Well ill just take a grilled chicken salad, no tomatoes and red wine" I add closing my menu and handing it to her.

"Okay" she meekly responds looking at lu.

"I can't decide so I'll have the stake medium rare with mashed potatoes and a green tea for now" Lucious says smiling.

"I'm sorry if I come off weird I'm just a fan of yall honestly" she squeaks making everyone laugh.

"Thank you sweetheart,you don't come off weird promise. How a bout before we go we'll take a few pictures" I say making her smile harder. She finishes taking our orders then scurries off.

"She's was cute" Tiana says looking down at her phone.

"More like annoying" Keem comments under his breath.

"She's a fan Keem, people like her made us who we are remember that" Tiana snaps.

"Maybe I didn't wanna be this" he  murmurs.

"Didnt wanna be what a superstar? Hakeem you practically did everything possible to become famous" Tiana responds.

"And now I'm starting to regret it" he replies pulling a flask from under the table.

"Really hakeem? It's that hard for you to stay sober for one dinner?" Tiana asks feed up.

"Imma grown man I can drink when I want to" he snaps gulping down half the flask.

"Ugh  you have a problem keem" Tiana tells him shaking her head.

"No you have a problem because you seem to forget everything that happened Tiana" he says raising his voice a little.

"No I don't forget keem, I accept and move on because I have two babies at home that need a mother and I'm sure they can't rely on their father" she argues raising her voice to match his. Damn.

"I'm a great father don't ever say some stupid shit like that " he curses slamming his flask down.

"A great father to who? The twins? Hakeem you're barely there half the time. Your either drunk and can't form a sentence or out doing god knows what until you feel it's good to come home. Our babies barely know you" she says angry.
