48. When it all comes crashing down

Cookie POV

My eyes follow Lucious as he shuffles into our bedroom. It's only been two hours since i stormed out his office,not nearly enough time for me to get over our argument. Lu looks at me with pleading eyes the second he catches me staring. I quickly break our eye contact looking back down at the book I was reading.

"Raven and noble in bed ?" Lu asks as he sits down on the bed and takes off his tie.

"Yes they are" I say "but you could go check, you know because you don't trust me anymore" I add being extra petty. He sucks his teeth then continue to get undressed deciding to ignore my comment.

He gets up a few seconds later then walks towards the bathroom for a shower. Lu slightly slams the door then starts the shower obviously still as mad as me. I sigh then place my book on my nightstand. Laying down I can feel the tears brimming my eyes. Damn I hate it when we fight.

About twenty minutes go by before Lucious walks out the bathroom. He goes into the closet for a minute then comes to bed.

"Cookie" lu sternly calls as he sits next to me.

"Mhm" I mumble my back facing him.

"Could we talk?" He asks a little something softer.

"I'm tired lucious" I snap still in my feelings.

"I'm just trying to fix things Cookie, you could try too especially because you're the one who started all of this" he says. I quickly sit-up then turn to him.

"No Lucious you're the one who decided you can't trust me because I didn't break my sons promise and tell you something you were gonna find out eventually " I shoot back earning a annoyed look.

"Cookie you know if the shoe was on the other foot you'd be mad as hell if I kept something from you" he argues.

"Stop acting like you never kept a thing from me. You've kept things way bigger than this, a secret for years don't forget that" I say.

"Why are you bringing up the past Cookie? It shouldn't matter what I did when I was younger, you forgave me and we got past that. It's not fair to throw that in my face now" he says.

"I'm not throwing anything in you're face Lucious, I'm just saying how are you this mad at me when the situation is not that serious" I ask.

"It's not that serious to you but it is to me. We're trying to rebuild our relationship and our trust but how are we gonna do that if we start lying to each other again? I want this to last this time. Forever" he reasons.

"And I do too but I still don't see why this situation was so blown out of proportion" I say.

"I'm going to bed. You obviously don't want to settle this only cause you're wrong and I'm not arguing with you all night so goodnight" he snaps turning his back to me any laying down. I scoff angry as I move over and turn my lamp off. I then turn my back to him and lay down.

I'm awoken by Lucious shuffling around the room, I sit up then roll my eyes as he continues to ignore me.

"Well good morning" I sarcastically say swinging my legs over the bed.

"Mornin" lu says back walking into the bathroom. He really can be stubborn as hell when he's mad but I'm just as stubborn so I guess I'll wait till he apologizes cuz I'm definitely not. I sort of stomp out the room towards raven and noble rooms.

"Noble" I call knocking on the door he opens it seconds later.

"Mornin mama" noble groggily says rubbing his eyes. I chuckle a bit cuz he's looking just like Mal right now.
