"They're ride or die so what's 17 years apart?"

When you meet the love of your life at 15 growing up in the streets of West Philly you don't always do right by your family.
Selling dope, moving bodies , selling keys is the only way to stay alive...
Today's my birthday, the first birthday I'm gonna have as a free woman.
I lay here my eyes closed, im afraid to open them because I don't know what to expect. I'm turning 46. Geez, I'm old. Lu and the boys are planning something I know, but I just want this day to go smoothly.
As I sit up I notice pink envelop on the end of my bed.
I smile to myself as I glance around the room. I notice a golden key lying by itself at the bottom of the package. I pull out the piece of paper and read the directions. As I enter my lounging area connected to my bathroom I see a whole spa set up.
"Happy birthday Miss.Cookie, thus is for you" she hands me yet another pink envelop.

He's so sweet and I can't help but feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I go into my actual bathroom to see a bath already being run for me. Bubbles fill the tub, candles burn, and soft music plays in the background as I step into my bath. The flat screen mounted on the wall slowly swings out. A slideshow of moments that seem to have took place forever ago flash across the screen.
