Chapter twelve

"We're back!" Jason called. "Where are you guys?" Malia yelled. "We're in the kitchen." Jayshawn replied. "Why are- Selin,what's wrong?" Jason frowned and bent down. "I need to shower." Selin jumped up. "I'll wait in your room for you." Malia went upstairs.

"I know we've just met but I don't have any female friends, my brother's friends are all I know, I've never gone to school, never had parents so I just want to be here for you." Malia smiled. "That means a lot, right now I just want to shower,eat pizza and stay with people I feel safe around." Selin sighed, grabbed her towel and stepped under the water.

"Jayshawn, what happened?" Jason asked. "I-" "Don't bs me, tell me the truth." Jason said. "Dray asked to speak to her alone so I gave them their privacy then I hear Selin screaming my name so I run in to the kitchen and see Dray sitting on top of her.." Jayshawn shook his head.

"What?" Jason clenched his fists. "He tried to rape her Jase, all I can think is, what if I didn't come in time? What if I was too late? Jase, I feel so bad, so guilty." Jayshawn rubbed his face.

"Where did he go?" Jason asked. "I don't know, I threw him out but Selin didn't want to be alone so I couldn't do much."

Jason walked out of the room. "Where you going?" Jayshawn asked. "To find that son of a bitch." Jason slammed the front door. Jayshawn ran in to Selin's bedroom and saw her crying again.

Jayshawn sat on the bed and pulled her on to his lap. "It's okay, I promise you." Jayshawn held her close to him. "Jason left?" Malia mouthed, Jayshawn nodded. "You want some pizza?" Jayshawn asked, Selin sat up. "When have I ever said no to food?" Selin smiled.

The three of them jumped up and walked in to the kitchen and saw Roc about to eat the pizza, he looked at Selin and gave a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry, can we forget about what happened? It was a really bad first impression." Roc said, Selin chuckled and hugged him.

"Jayshawn?" Selin whined. "What happpened to you calling me Jay?" He chuckled. "Jay?" Selin smiled. "What can I do for you?" Jayshawn asked. "I'd like a phone." Selin picked up a bbq based pizza. "I asked you earlier and you said no!" Jayshawn frowned.

"Well earlier I didn't have a female friend! Well,at least one who cares." Selin sighed. "You upset over that chick? Banana?" Roc asked. "Brianna." Selin giggled. "I don't care anymore, I've got a better friend." Selin hugged Malia.

"We can go buy a phone tomorrow and then maybe go in to the mall." Jayshawn picked up one of the two boxes of pizza. "This is now mine." Jayshawn took a slice and Selin bit in to it. "It's mine now." Selin smiled.

"Bishh,I'll eat it, same way." Jayshawn shoved the rest of the pizza in his mouth. "Puppy." Selin whispered. "You gonna look after a puppy?" Jayshawn raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Por favor?" Selin pouted.

"Un perro?" He frowned. "Please!" Selin screamed. "We'll see." Jayshawn said, Malia and Selin squealed. "Jay is so nice! Jason would never let me have a puppy!" Malia sulked. "I can't believe their nineteen." Roc shook his head. They all started when the door slammed shut.

"Jace?" Selin frowned. "Where did you-" "Malia, Roc, we need to go." Jason said. "Why, what's wrong?" Malia frowned. "I said, let's go!" Jason yelled. "Not until you tell me why you're upset." Malia sat down.

"Do you wanna know why Dray tried to rape you?" Jason looked at Selin. "Wh-" "Because Money wanted him to, Money wants you, wants your body and your affection and I'm guessing he didn't want a virgin." Jason sat down, Jayshawn was shaking with anger.

"Nobody knows who Money is?" Jayshawn yelled. "Nobody knows?" He shouted. "I want his head, I want to see his blood spilled and I want it soon." Jayshawn said and walked out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Selin followed behind him. "To bed." Jayshawn replied. "I thought you wanted me to do your hair?" Selin smiled. "It can wait." Jayshawn walked up the stairs. "Look." Selin turned Jayshawn to face her. "You will find him." Selin smiled.

"What if I don't?" Jayshawn looked down. "You will."

Jayshawn walked in to his bedroom. "Go away." He smirked. "You promised you wouldn't leave me." Selin pouted. "What, so I should sleep on the couch again?" Jayshawn mean mugged. Selin laughed before her face fell, Jayshawn jumped in to his bed.

"Jay, do you think he'll do it again?" Selin stood in the corner of his room. "Do you think he would send out another person to do, to do something like that? What if they succeed? What if-"

"Come here." Jayshawn commanded, Selin wiped away her tears and did as told. "I will do all I can to keep you safe, he isn't taking you, I won't let him." Jayshawn smiled. "Lay down." Selin did as told.

Jayshawn wrapped his arms around her. "You make me feel safe, even though I'm not." Selin smiled.

"I'll keep you safe, I'll do all I can to keep you safe."
