"Malia don't you dare!" Malia moved her hand from next to the last slice of pizza. "We can half it." Selin smiled as she split in to two. "It's only been a couple days but I don't think I've ever seen you eat a salad." Malia giggled.
"The only time I eat a salad is when it comes with takeaway." Selin smirked. "I'm going to the gym downstairs." Selin fixed her Lyra shorts. "You stay put and watch t.v, I'll be back in an hour." Selin said.
"You sure you want to walk downstairs, past three men, wearing that?" Malia giggled. "I'll be fine." Selin smiled and walked out of the door.
Selin walked in to the room full of boxing equipment, she grabbed a pair of boxing gloves, put in her earphones, put on the boxing gloves and began to punch the punch bag.
After five punches, the bag broke. Selin replaced it with another and continued punching. "Can we talk?" Jayshawn sat in the corner of the room, he walked over to Selin.
"Is it true?" Selin kept her body facing the punching back. "Is what true?" Jayshawn asked as Selin took off the punching gloves. "Did you turn my mother in to a drug addict?" Selin whispered.
"Selin, it-" Selin turned around and kicked Jayshawn in his groin. Jayshawn doubled up in pain. "Why did you,how could you do this to me?" Selin began to cry. "I gave you my trust and you lied to me! You ruined my life!" Selin screamed.
Jayshawn was still bent over, trying to catch his breath.
"Let me-let me explain, you don't know everything, you don't know my side of the story." Jayshawn said.
"Tell me your side Jayshawn because I'm this close from walking out of here." Selin gestured with her fingers.
"Do you know who Jerome Williams is?" Jayshawn straightened up and sat down on the seat in the corner. "The king of all kingpins, he killed his wife, two daughters and son and he's on death row for it but what has he-"
"He succeeded in the killing of his wife abd daughters but he attempted to murder his son, tried to drown the eight year old." Jayshawn sighed. "Well, that's my father. I was dragged in to intensive care and when I was let out, I was flown to Manhattan to live with my aunt.
My aunty was a dope dealer, she told me the only way I can stay with her is to earn my keep, I had to sell for her. I was eleven when I met your mother, it was my first day selling dope. This man had taken her down an alleyway and a couple minutes later they walked back out and went two different ways, she was badly bruised, her caramel skin tone was blue and green and her Asian eyes were bruised, one was swollen.
She asked me if I was selling and I told her yes, she told me that she needed to escape, the abuse, the world, everything and that this would help her. From that day she kept coming back but I didn't know she had a child, if I did I never would have sold to her.
I was twelve when I found out about you, you was about ten and she was twenty two. She came asking for drugs and I refused to sell to her. She said she would find somebody else that would sell to her and I guess she did. That same day, my aunty threw me out because I was earning less money." Jayshawn said.
"I swear, as soon as I found out about you, I stopped selling to her. I heard the stories of how she was treating her daughter and I quickly realised that it was my fault. I'm sorry." He stood up and walked in front of Selin.
"Is that why you said you owe it to me, is that why you took me in?" Selin frowned. Jayshawn shook his head no. "I helped you out before I knew who you was." Jayshawn smiled for a second.
"When was you going to tell me?" Selin asked. "Was you going to?"
"No." Jayshawn looked down, Selin slapped him across the face. Jayshawn looked at her. "I deserve that." Jayshawn stated.
Selin raised her hand to his face but pulled it back.
Instead, she pushed her lips on to his and then pulled back suddenly. "What was that?" Jayshawn smirked. "Um, it was nothing, forget it happened." Selin turned back around to face the punching bag.
"Okay,I'm going to teach you how to shoot tomorrow so be in the target room at 1pm." Jayshawn called as Selin walked past him. "Yeah, bye." She ran upstairs leaving Jayshawn alone.
Jayshawn bit his lip and smiled as he exited the boxing room.
