Chapter Twenty six

Selin began to breathe heavily, she clutched the door handle and stumbled in. "I'm so-" Selin cut the nurse off by pushing her away from Jayshawn and throwing her on to the floor. "No!" Selin yelled, she started banging on Jayshawn's chest.

"Don't you dare, come back to me! Damn it, come back!" Selin screamed. She felt a pair of hands grab her wrists. "Dang,that hurts!" Jayshawn yelled. "Why are you crying?" Jayshawn put a shaky hand on Selin's face and began to wipe away tears.

"You stopped- your heart stopped beating." Selin looked at Jayshawn. "I thought I lost you!" Selin kissed his face before pulling away and slapping his face, the connection echoed through the room. "Don't you ever scare me like that again!" She yelled.

"Ma'am, can you step back, I have a couple more tests to run." A black doctor with light brown eyes asked, he bent his head over Jayshawn as he drew some blood, his dreadlocks swinging in the air.

Ten minutes later, all the doctors left the room. Jayshawn and Selin sat in silence for a little while. "Did you miss me?" Jayshawn smiled. "Boy, be quiet." Selin swatted away his question as if it was a pesky insect.

"What happened?" Jayshawn frowned. Selin grew quiet. "Tell me." Jayshawn said, Selin crept over his bed and sat next him. "Why are you crying?" Jayshawn asked, Selin sighed and began to explain.

Jayshawn's eyes grew wide as Selin got further in to the story. As Selin came to the end of her story, Jayshawn became angry. "Do you know who did it? Why didn't you go to Yahaira? I'm going to kill whoever did this!" Jayshawn exclaimed.

"I didn't want to leave you." Selin whispered. Jayshawn sighed. "If you left would you come back?" Jayshawn looked Selin in the eye. "What?" Selin said, confused.

"Pass my jacket please." Jayshawn pointed in the corner of the room. "I just feel like I got to make us last forever." Jayshawn sat up slowly, making sure not to open his stitches. "Why?" Selin smiled as she passed him his jacket.

" 'Cause one day, you're going to leave me." Jayshawn finished. "Is that what you think? I'm not going anywhere, not now, not tomorrow, not ever. You get taken to jail for ten years, I'm going to hold your ass down and work hard so you have something to come home to. You get shot again? I'm going to take it upon myself to find whoever the gunman or woman is and kill that son of a b. You get- you know what, the meaning is, I didn't like you and now.. now I can't get enough of you." Selin kissed his face.

Jayshawn smirked. "Of course you can't get enough of me." He licked his lips. "You ruined the moment." Selin rolled her eyes. "I can never get enough of you, I could look at you for hours and not get bored." Jayshawn smirked.

Selin rolled her eyes as she brang out a packet of hot cheetos. "It's a good thing I'm not lactose and tolerant 'cause that cheese you talking would've killed me. By the way,  the doctor said no sexual activities for four weeks.  " Selin giggled. "Four weeks?  Are you- Nevermind. Selin, do you promise to hold me down? Even when times get rough?" Jayshawn questioned.

"You know I will." Selin smiled. "Jay, what are you doing?" Selin frowned as he fumbled around in his coat pocket. "Hold out your arm, I was going to give this to you at the bbq but you know what happened ."

Selin did as told, Jayshawn produced a 24 karat gold bracelet infinity bracelet from Tiffany and co. If Selin knew that Jayshawn had paid over one thousand dollars for it, she would probably flip but that didn't even make a dent in his pocket.

Engraved on the infinity sign was the words J&S. "Selin?" Jayshawn snapped her out of her thoughts. "Hmm?" She said. "I love you." Jayshawn kissed her and Selin covered her face with her hands. "Why are you hiding? Are you crying?" Jayshawn smirked.

"No, I have cheeto in my eyes!" Selin defended, poking out her bottom lip which Jayshawn began to suck on. "You're supposed to say it back." He frowned. Selin kissed her teeth and grinned. "You already know I love your dumb ass."

"Baby, go say your goodbyes to Yahaira, I'll still be here." Jayshawn smacked her ass as she got up. "I really don't want to leave you." She sighed. "Yeah, well, I want McDonalds so you can pick up some on your way back." Jayshawn smiled.

"Greedy ass." Selin called. "Dumb ass." Jayshawn said back. "Stupid ass." Selin replied, Jayshawn licked his lips.

"Baby girl, your ass fat so I'm not complaining." Jayshawn chuckled, Selin smiled, picked up her bag and left the room.
