Chapter Twenty Five

A day later

Selin let out a sigh as she looked at Jayshawn's unconscious body. "Who did this to you?" Selin frowned. Jayshawn remained unconscious, Selin only knew he was alive because of the slight movement his chest made as he breathed.

"Jay,please wake up. I need you. I've gotten this far because of you, I almost died yesterday but you jumped on top of me. Why did you do that you idiot!" Selin hit him lightly as she blinked back tears.

"You shouldn't be on that hospital bed-"

Selin was cut off by her phone ringing. The newest Drake song rung out, sounding ten times louder in the quiet hospital room. "Malia?" Selin frowned. "How is she?" Selin asked.

"Selin she's, she's-" "No she's not." Selin whispered. "Selin, they couldn't find a pulse, she died instantly." Malia cried through the phone. "Malia, I...don't lie to..." Selin put a shaking hand over her mouth and dropped the phone.

"Selin? Are you still there?" Selin didn't say a word, she dropped on to her knees and cried. She had known Yahaira all her life, Yahaira was friends with Alissia, years before she began to take drugs.

When Selin walked out on Alissia, Yahaira welcomed her with open arms and showed her what a real mother was like. Yahaira was a mother to Selin and now she was gone. Selin picked up the phone with a shaking hand.

"Ye-yeah, I'm still here." Selin whispered. "Where's her husband?"

"He's at the morgue, crying over her body. Selin, I'm not trying to tell you what to do but I think you should come down here." Jason said, taking the phone from Malia.

"I can't. I can't leave Jayshawn alone, what if they come back?" Selin questioned. "Selin-"
Selin hung up the phone, put it on silent and put it back in to her shorts pocket. She sat on the edge of Jayshawn's bed and cried. "Mommy's gone." She whispered.

She began to walk away when Jayshawn's heart moniter sped up. "Jay?" Selin yelled. His eyes fluttered open and his heart moniter slowed down. "Where am I?" He lifted a hand but pain struck across his face.

"Are you in pain? I call the doctor!" Selin ran out of the room and ran straight in to a doctor. "I'm sorry but my boyfriend needs help." Selin grabbed the doctor's arm and led him in Jayshawn's room.

The doctor grabbed the clipboard on the top of Jayshawn's bed and frowned. "You're awake." The doctor looked up and frowned again. "The doctor who filled this out said he gave you a strong sedative, you shouldn't be up,or in pain." The doctor looked at Jayshawn and saw the crisp white sheet he was under become submerged in blood.

The doctor called for help, a doctor and two nurses ran in to the room. "I'm sorry but can you wait outside?" A nurse snapped. "Bitch,lose that attitude. I just found out I lost somebody so I'm not in the mood for your pms problems. Talk to me in that tone again and I will snap your neck." Selin whispered in the nurses ear.

The nurse stepped back, pushed her glasses up her face and stood up straight on her twig-like legs. Selin glanced at her before picking up her phone and waking outside.

Selin stood facing the glass window,watching with an intense stare as they operated on Jayshawn.

"Come on Jay, stay with me. I can't lose you, not now."

A tear rolled down Selin's face as the heart moniter fell silent.
