A/N Hey peoples, this is my first official Doctor Who fan fiction. Just to clarify, this is the Eleventh Doctor that I'm talking about. There's no real time where this happened simply because I'm not sure when to squeeze this character in. Let's just pretend that it's after Amy and Rory but before he and River became too close. I'm trying to create a romance and it's difficult because The Doctor has so many companions. So, this is kind of a long author's note. If you have any questions or need anything cleared up just comment. :) The pic on the side is Violet.

The wind whipped harshly against my cheek as I hurried down the busy streets of London. Winter was never merciful here, and I desperately wished for a scarf. Stupid me decided to go clubbing in a short red dress in the middle of a London Winter. It wasn't snowing, but the winter wind was just as cold.
I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to create the illusion of warmth. It didn't work. Despite my thick brown hair, my head was still freezing, along with the rest of my body. My flat was two blocks down; that would take at least twenty minutes to walk if I took the long way. My eyes scanned the streets for any signs of a cab, but there were none. So, I had three options. I could take the long way and freeze, I could sit here and wait until ice covered my body and die, or I could take the back way home.
That sounded like the best option. The bad part was, the back way was pretty dangerous, especially at this time of night.
Still, I was freezing and tired, so it sounded safe in my mind. Taking a deep breath, I made my way down the dark alleyway.
I was almost home when trouble hit. I'd been keeping my head low, so I didn't notice the group of men until I ran into one. He turned around slowly, sending me an evil glare.
"What the 'ell are you doin'? Watch where you're..." his voice trailed off as his eyes raked up and down my body. Fear spiked in my chest. The hungry look on his face scared me.
I took a slow step backwards, trying not to make it obvious. The man noticed, though.
"Where are you going, love?" he asked with an angry voice. "Why don' you stay for some tea?" I knew exactly what he meant by that, and I'd never felt so scared in my life.
Without waiting for a response, I spun on my heel and tore off down the alley from which I came. The man, along with his three friends, chased after me. They were clearly faster, but I had a head start and adrenaline pumping through my veins. Distantly, I heard a loud noise, along with some heaving. It sounded like some sort of engine, but it was soon taken over by the pounding in my ears. The dress and heels made it difficult to run, but I managed.
When I saw the end of the alleyway in sight, I almost wept in relief. The men were steps behind me. I shoved forward with one last burst of speed before throwing my body to the right the second I stepped out of the alleyway. It was late enough that no one was there to see the men chasing me, so they didn't stop at the cover of the alley. They continued pursuing me.
I flung my head around to see them, my eyes widening as I noticed them about twenty feet behind me. Before I could scream, my body slammed into someone else. We tumbled to the ground together. The wind was knocked out of me as I struggled to sit up.
A man jumped up from beside me, not injured at all. While I was rubbing my neck and groaning, he was already standing and looking around.
"Blimey, that was interesting. Nine hundred years in time and space and I've never been run down by a girl in a red dress before. Well, there was this one time, on Naboo- No, wait, sorry, that's Star Wars. It was Clom. Yes, I was run down by a girl in Clom. Or was she a fish? Doesn't matter. What matters are the four angry men running after you who are what, ten feet away? That's very, very not good. We should probably hide. I'm the Doctor by the way." I stared up at him in awe. How could one person say so much so fast? What was he talking about? Nine hundred years? Clom? Fish? He made no sense!
