~Sakura~
"Ugh that was rough," I groan and throw myself onto my mattress in the middle of the living room floor. I sighed and covered my face with my hands. "I'm starting to think this was a bad idea." I say softly.
I feel the bed sink next to me. "Don't give me that crap." Temari said. "It's only the first day and I don't think it was all that bad. I mean, it was a little awkward but that's to be expected. But I think it's good idea to get closure for both you and your friends."
"I know, I missed it here, but I'm so afraid that they are going to get dragged into this. I'm not going to stay under the radar for long, I have a few months best case scenario but most likely just a few weeks. I want to make it up to them but I'm not even sure where to start."
"And we'll figure it out, it's just going to take a little time. Also, I'm not going to let anything happen to you and we'll make sure to keep your friends out of it. I can give you the time you need, we can make it happen, we just have to have faith, we know how to handle ourselves. For now you need to let yourself relax while you have the chance, you deserve a little of it."
I sighed again, "you're right." I say peaking through my fingers.
"Of course I am." She smiles then slaps my arm. "Now help me unpack." She gets up and starts sifting through a nearby box.
I groaned, "Fine." I pushed myself off of the bed and kicked my shoes off because I hadn't done that when I first walked in. "Start with the kitchen boxes, I'm hungry."
She laughed, "Ok."
And so we spent most of the night unpacking. We got into a couple of debates of where to put things. The pots and pans go in the cupboard and utensils are in the drawer next to the dishwasher. We washed down counters and cupboards and completed the kitchen.
"I guess we will have to go shopping to fill our fridge." Temari says as we both stare at our empty open fridge.
"yeah. . ."
"I'll get the car."
"We could walk, it's not too far."
"What is up with you walking everywhere?"
I shrug, "It's nice fresh air, helps me stay fit, and it lets me see the town I grew up in."
"that's nice, but I'm not carrying sacks of groceries back here and I'm sure that you don't want to either."
I laughed, "Yeah you're right."
"It's your turn to drive."
"Yeah, yeah alright." She tossed me the keys and headed out.
I followed her and locked up the house behind us. I started the car and on our way Temari started righting a shopping list on the back of an old receipt. I parked the car and waited for a few minutes for Temari to finish the list. We walked inside and I grabbed a cart while she started reciting things we would be grabbing.
We walked up and down isles, grabbing what we needed as well as getting a little lost trying to navigate an unfamiliar store. Temari had written down things for pastas, wraps, chicken dinners as well as quick and easy things such as microwave pizzas and corn-dogs.
I was just asking her about a certain tomato when there was a loud something screaming my name.
"SAAAAAAAKKKUUUUURRRRAAAAA!!" I turned around just in time to be bulldozed. The life was being squeezed out of me and I was being shook around. Weird sounds escaped my mouth and I could literally feel my soul leaving my body.
