Friendship Knows No Bounds (a sasusaku fan fic)

Chapter 6

As the years went on, our group continued to get larger.

Hinata finally told her cousin that she had made some friends and so we wanted to check us out. Hyuga Neji reminded me a lot of Sasuke. He was cold and it felt like he was always judging everyone. He was very protective of his cousin and claimed that where ever Hinata went he would go too.

Inuzuka Kiba and his dog, Akamaru, joined our group when we were playing soccer in gym and things got a little out of hand with the other team. Kiba sided with us when the fight started and helped us settle it faster. He seemed to click naturally with the group and meshed well.

Ten Ten came into to the group because she was good at sports and we always chose her to be apart of our team in sport activities. We got to know her and she was totally stellar.

Nara Shikamaru joined the group. . . well I'm not sure how really, he just kinda. . . joined. He was lazy and had weird pineapple shaped hair.

There were a few others who were friends but not really part of the group, and I guess Shikamaru was sorta part of this group too. Akamichi Choji was on the fat side, but don't tell him that or things got a little scary. He was best friends with Shikamaru and he often hung with us and often not.

Rock Lee was rather quiet annoying as he often professed his love for me. He was super weird and followed everything our gym teacher, Guy sensei, said. They were like two peas in a pod and they even dressed the same.

Aburame Shino, well, I don't really have much to say about him. Sometimes he's just there but most the time it's like he is invisible. He's kind of unsettling if I am completely honest.

It was weird how life went from just Sasuke and I, to a bunch of us. Sasuke always kept up his disinterest mood unless it was just me and him. I silently wondered if he would ever warm up to our knew friends enough to be as comfortable with them as he is with me. Regardless I loved having so many friends.

Growing older meant exploring new things which included feelings. I realized that I may have been developing a crush on my best friend, which I really wasn't sure what to do about.

One day, while playing volleyball in Ino's backyard when we were seven, she confronted all of us about our crushes. Ino had gotten us all interested in volleyball so we played it frequently and thought about finding a team to join together or find two more players and start our own team.

It was Ino and Hinata against Ten Ten and me, and we had just scored a point against them when Ino casually popped the question. Our game was unconsciously brought to a halt and we sat in a circle on the grass facing each other.

"What brought that question on Ino?" Ten Ten asked.

Ino shrugged, "I was just curious. I mean, its the type of thing best friends know about each other Y'know?"

We all nodded, understanding that what she was saying made sense.

"Well?" She inquired. We all looked at each other, no one wanting to go first. Ino rocked back on her heels. "fine. I bet I could guess them anyways." She says cockily.

"Could you now?" Ten Ten asks curiously. Ino nods and smirks.

"I've seen the looks you give to a certain Hy-u-ga" She teases and Ten Ten's cheeks turn pink. Ino giggles, "Right on the money, CHA!"

"You have a crush on my cousin?" Hinata asks quietly.

Ten Ten looks shyly at Hinata. "Y-yeah, but if your not ok-"

Hinata smiled and giggled, "No, no! hehe you two would be so cute together! I approve!" Ten Ten glomped Hinata.

"Thanks! it means alot!"

Ino then turned to Hinata after Ten Ten had let her go. "Will you tell us yours? Or would you rather have me tell them?" She asks sweetly.

Hinata turned as red as a tomato and kept poking her pointer fingers together. " I-It's. . . I-I-Its- oh!" She flat out fainted.

"Hinata!" The three of us yelled. Ino held her in her arms while Ten Ten and I tried fanning her.

"I honestly think I know who it is." Ino says sighing.

"I already know." I state.

"I can probably guess." Ten Ten shrugs. "She makes it really obvious, I can't believe the bimbo hasn't noticed it himself but I guess it doesn't really surprise me."

After a couple minutes, Hinata's eyelids started to flutter open. "W-Wha-"

"You fainted Hinata." I told her.

"Oh." She replied, then her face turned red again as another "Oh" Escaped her lips. "N-N-Naruto" She finally gets out.

We all smile brightly at her. "We know." We say.

"What about you Ino?" Ten Ten asked.

"I bet I already know." I sing taunt.

Ino turned a light shade of pink. "The lazy pineapple head." Ino muttered.

"Shikamaru!?" Ten Ten exclaimed, then giggle her guts out. Hinata smiled encouragingly while I smirked in triumph as I had figured it out earlier.

After Ten Ten's giggle left and everything settled down all three of them looked at me and I gulped.

"And what about you Sakura?" Ino inquired.

"Me?"

They all nodded.

"No one." I shrug.

"Awwww" They all said.

"That's a lie and you know it!" Ino said, pointing a finger at me.

I shook my head, "is not."

"Is too. Sorry Sakura." It was Hinata. "I can tell who you have a crush on."

"Yeah, we all told you ours. Tell us yours." Ten Ten said.

"There's nothing to tell." I shrug again and they all glared at me.

"Say it." Ino said gravely.

"No" I humphed, folded my arms and looked away.

"Say it say it say it!" Ino sings, getting really close and leaning on me.

"There's nothing to say!" I snap back, laughing at her actions. Suddenly she tackled me to the ground and the other two dog piled on top. "Pig! get off! you all are heavy!" I gasp. 

"Rude!" they all exclaim. 

"Say it Sakura or I'll have to say it. Maybe then you'll finally realize it!" Ino proclaimed. 

"Please! enlighten me!" I said. 

"Sasuke. Sasuke uchiha is your crush, admit it." She says with a satisfactory smirk. 

I felt my cheeks go instantly pink and I look away. "N-No. He's my bestfriend." 

"Liar" They state with smirks. 

I sighed. "I may, have a tiny little crush on him." I mumble and my face turns redder. The other girls erupt into a fit of giggles and climb off me. 

"It's so perfect! All of you! I can't wait to get things going!" Ino said and we all gave her questioning looks. "We are making a pact here and now that we will have each other's backs no matter what. And that includes getting extra points when we are able to pair each other up with their crushes. Friends for life, no matter what." She explains, kissing her pinkie and holding it in the middle. 

"No matter what." I say, kissing my pinkie and conjoining it with hers. 

"No matter what" Ten Ten repeats the action. 

"No matter what" Hinata joins. 

We all smile at each other, knowing we have a bond that will last forever. We are special, in our own ways, and we were meant for each other, I can feel it.
