This game involves a lot of running. . .
I've been doing pretty good, I've taken quite a few people out and I'm kinda impressed with myself. I'm stealthy, like a ninja.
Again, I was running for my life, trying to find a good spot to turn the tables. It was still hard to see as the halls were pitch black so I prayed that I didn't run into anything. . . man did that pray go unanswered.
I turned the corner and slammed into someone. . . hard. We were tangled up and I managed to sit up, so I think I was sitting on their stomach, straddling them. Instead of focusing on them I sprayed the person who was chasing this other guy and in return they took out the one who was chasing me. The ones shot grumbled in complaint but they eventually left and I trained my spray can on the one underneath me. His was trained on me too.
I let my eyes adjust and from the little light emanating from both our glow sticks I was able to see who it was.
"Sasuke!?" I say surprised, I honestly didn't think him the type of person to participate in something like this.
"Get off." he grunted.
"Oh, right sorry." I say and scramble off him. I was a little hesitant on spraying him. He stands up and shoots some spray at me. I sidestep it quickly.
"Wait!" I say quickly before he can spray again. "We're on the same team!"
That made him stop. I don't know why I said it, I didn't even know if it was true, I was just determined to not get out. I looked at him, and he did in fact have a pink cloth tied around his forehead indicating that we were, indeed, partners.
"Hn." He said, probably noticing my headband. He put his silly string down.
"Okay well. . ." I say at a loss for words. "What kind of supplies do you have?" I say, not knowing really what else to do and just trying to do something. I rummage through my bag to show him what kind of things I have.
He grabs my wrist, "Not here." He says and starts dragging me down the hall. I thought better than to say anything and soon enough he let go. I think some people are taking this game way too seriously. He watched the halls and didn't say anything. I watched our backs and made sure no one was sneaking up on us from behind.
'this is just fantastic,' I thought sarcastically to myself. The one person I had to run into, let alone be stuck with, just had to be Sasuke. I felt awkward and uneasy electricity between us. I felt it there but as always Sasuke was indifferent.
I continued to follow him and he led me to a corner and I was wondering why when I saw a type of place set up with a larger pink cloth hanging in front of it. I guessed it was our base.
"Good spot for a base." I commented.
"Hard to find." he replied then crawled inside. I hesitantly followed. He was snacking on a granola bar and pulling things out of his bag.
As he rummaged through his backpack I noticed some wires with ear buds on the end sticking out of one of the pockets.
"What are those?" I ask, and grab them out of the side.
"Headsets. Their useless without radios." He say's passively and continues rummaging through his bag.
I zipped mine open and pulled out the walkies that I had found. I plugged a headset in one of them that had batteries and tossed the other to Sasuke.
"I didn't have enough batteries for that one." I say.
"Where did you find these?"
"They were tucked away in an air vent."
