"So you can drag me through hell, if it meant I could hold your hand. I will follow you 'cause I'm under your spell." Follow You by Bring Me The Horizon

"Train the rookie."

Iwaizumi was seated in a black leather chair awaiting for an assignment. What he got was a person. Obviously, they get assigned people to kill but never had he gotten someone to train.

He looked at the slightly nervous man seated next to him and sighed. It was Daichi. Sugawara's wife's brother.

"Take him with you on your next assignment," he was handed a pale yellow manila envelope and was dismissed.

He stood and walked out the door, Daichi following.

As soon as the door was shut, he whipped around and faces Daichi. "Just what do you think you're doing?"

"Learning what you do for a living."

"Aren't you a cop?"

"Was a cop."

Iwaizumi pinched the bridge of his nose and scrunched his eyes closed. He took a deep breath then looked at Daichi once more.

"Exactly. You were a cop. This is kind of illegal."

"Kind of? This is illegal."

"Then what the fuck are you doing here?"

"I want to get rid of every wrongdoer."

"Daichi... You do realize... That we can't choose who we kill."

He was silent, so Iwaizumi continued, "Someone wants someone dead and we do the job if the higher ups here approve it and then we get assigned, do the deed and get money."

"... I'm aware."

"How did you even find out about this?"

"My sister let it slip to me about Sugawara and how that was her only concern about him when she was drunk."

"Why did he tell her? That idiot wasn't supposed to tell anyone."

"He said it out of concern for her, she said. Like... If something were to happen to him or if strange people came up to her."

Iwaizumi stared at Daichi and sized him up. They were almost the same height. Daichi was broader though. He was fit, which may help if it comes down to brute strength in a case. He was in the police force so he was trained to use a gun. He probably wasn't bad with a knife. But could he kill was the question? Especially if he was assigned to kill someone he didn't agree in killing.

He rubbed his eyes and sighed, walking towards the workers lounge searching for the coffee. It has been three days since the wedding and he had not gotten a smidge of sleep. Sugawara occupied his mind.

Sugawara on his honeymoon. Iwazumi knew what that meant, after all, he was once married too. She divorced him and he never saw her again. But Sugawara had been a friend for a while and he started feeling attraction towards him. It was strange to him at first because they were both men, but no matter how much he tried to stop the feelings, that platonic yearning grew into something more.

He grabbed a Styrofoam cup and filled it up with coffee, adding in four spoonfuls of sugar. He was probably going to regret it later but he needed this now.

He heard a cough behind him and sighed once more. "What?"

"The job."

"Are you fucking serious right now?" Iwazumi set his cup down and walked up to Daichi. "Listen here, I'm only getting paid to get this job done. I'm not getting any extra by training you. I hope you realize that. And we'll open it up when I want to open it up. You just stay back and don't screw anything up, understood?"

Iwaizumi, by the end of that, was now chest to chest with Daichi who wore a scowl. He was not happy with Iwaizumi's attitude at all. They both narrowed their eyes at each other and a few surrounding workers felt the tension. When Daichi decided it was enough, he smiled and said, "What if I don't? Are you going to kill me?"

Iwaizumi was taken aback as were others that were close enough to hear. Soon, Iwaizumi found himself letting out a small chuckle. He wasn't as mad nor was he irriated either. He felt kind of empty.

But if Daichi could settle the tension with just a small joke, he decided that he wasn't as bad.

"How old are you?" Asked Iwaizumi.

"Twenty-four. You?"

"Twenty-eight."

"You're so old."

"Hush it."

"So... About that job?"

Iwazumi shook his head with a small grin and motioned Daichi over to a table where they sat next to each other as Iwaizumi opened the envelope.

The name was, Oikawa Tooru.

The guy was described to be tall, had blue eyes, with black hair. Well, that was what he last looked like. It was a broad description. But he could have changed looks since then. The guy didn't give them much info. He just got away with some very sensitive information.

Either way, Iwaizumi loathed the guys with disguises. It made his job harder and it took him longer to earn his money. And now, he had a rookie to "train" throughout this whole ordeal. No matter if he liked the rookie or not, the job would probably take longer. And his head was not fully on the job.

Daichi watched as Iwaizumi sighed for the billionth time that day as he read over the file.

Oikawa Tooru.

He was pretty well known in the police force as well. Everyone wanted him dead or arrested. They often were all the same. Charmed and tricked out of everything they had. And not just where they were at, but over the world. It became a name that came with warned whispers.

But he knew that Oikawa was not the reason Iwaizumi was sighing, after all, he was sighing before he even saw him step into the room. So, it was not him either.

Daichi, himself, wanted to sigh. He was thinking of the reason he even left the force to come do this.

Sugawara.

It was wrong. He was his sister's husband. But Daichi... Daichi was interested and had been since she first brought him to meet the family three years ago. And now... Well, the feelings haven't disappeared any. He was too kind, despite what he did.

And here, Daichi has followed him.
