the day of the trip
arrived quickly.
i prepared my belongings
and other essentials before
heading towards the kitchen
to be greeted by my eomma cooking.
"you're cooking baehyun!"
i squealed, startling her.

she exclaims.

i say while laughing.
"behave and have fun."
eomma says, turning
around to face me.
i felt a sensation of vibration
in my pocket, coming to the

i remark.

she says while planting a

i take my belongings
and head out the door
to be greeted with a
pleasant smile from him.
he pulled me into
a tight hug while
i let my arms squirm
around his waist.
our simple interactions
was my source of happiness.
"let's go."
he says.
we happily walked to
school, hands intertwined.
once we arrived, the bus
was already outside of
the building, waiting
for our class.
we were arranged
in seating plans,
and i ended up
sitting with bin.
it felt rather awkward
due to the fact that he
didn't acknowledge me.
his actions were quite
suspicious, and i hated it.
we were drifting.
our friendship
is at risk.
the boys were able
to come along since
their schedules had
been rearranged.

bin speaks.
i nod in response,
following behind.
i knew yoo ri wanted
to be partnered up with
bin, but i couldn't resist.
this was the only time
i had a chance of getting

on the way outside,

he had a gummy

onto his face.

until a girl

behind him.
i felt my blood rise
just looking at her.
"why are you with her?"
i asked, rolling my eyes.
"why can't i be?"
eunwoo replies with a smirk.
yerin just chuckles behind him.
i watched him in disbelief
while he walked past me.
i then walked towards bin,
my mood dropping.
"do you want the window seat?"
he asked.
"sure."
i say.
it became silent once again.
"are you okay?"
he asks.
i looked down,
unable to answer
his question.
was i okay?
his gaze switched to
eunwoo and yerin
whom were both
sharing laughters
together.
"don't worry about her,
i know eunwoo loves you."
he wouldn't do anything
to hurt you, he promised."
he reassured, for once
i felt that bin still cared.
the trip to jeju took 3 hours
and during that time, i felt
the need to catch up with bin.
"binnie."
i say, earning a
questioning look
from him.
"about that unrequited love..."
i brought up, which seemed
like a bad move.
"sorry, sorry. i didn't mean to."
i say, feeling my guilt rise.
he let out a
weak smile.
"it's okay, i'm slowly
accepting the fact that
i need to move on.
i can see she's happy,
and that's what matters."
he speaks,
"love is suppose to be
two people who linger
for each other, but
it's just me, watching
fate bring them together."
he continuous.
the expression on his face
showed that he was tearing up.
i wanted to be there for him,
especially at this time. but,
i felt miserable seeing him
that way.
i crack a little smile
which he returned.
i took his hand
and caressed it.
"who is she?"
i ask.
"she's someone so close,
yet so far away."
