I sat on the roof, my head in my knees as I pretended to sulk. Behind my knees I was smiling, secretly hoping I could be alone to relish in my success. Much to my dissapointment, someone sat down next to me. I put my sad face and act back on.

"Hey. I heard what happened." I felt a hand on my shoulder and felt tears run down my face. The police had investigated and as soon as I got to school I sat up on the roof. I sniffed and looked over to see Budo.

"I-I don't think I-I can make i-it to practice t-today." I said, standing up and walking to my class.

I sat in class waiting for the bell as I pushed my papers around with a pencil. The teacher came back in from the faculty room and looked surprised to see me.

"Ayano. You're early. The bell doesn't ring for five more minutes." She said as she walked to her desk. I sighed.

"I-it's just...with everything going on right now I...I don't like the whispering in the halls." I muttered, earning a nod from the teacher.

"I understand. When I was your age, I almost fell off the roof. No one pushed me. I just, slipped. That was the day I found my Senpai." She said, writing on the board. She finished as the bell rang and students starting shuffling in.

Classtime was almost over when Budo and Senpai walked in. They talked to the teacher who nodded. I continued my test, finishing the last question and standing up to hand it to the teacher. Senpai stopped me as I passed him.

"Meet us at the rooftop ok?" He whispered in my ear, sending a shiver up my spine. I nodded and handed the paper to her before heading out. The teacher cleared her throat and I looked back at her.

"I'm going to send the work you miss to Saki to take to your house later." She said and waved me out. I walked up to the roof slowly, not seeing Senpai or Budo anywhere. I sighed, climbing on the railing and spreading my arms out as I looked up and huffed. He should be here any second..... I was about to step off when hands grabbed me from behind and I fell into someone's lap. I let tears run down my cheeks as Budo came around and took my hands.

"What the hell were you doing?!" He asked, his eyes full of concern.

"People whisper...and everyone around me dies...I might as well just give up...I've failed Midori and Kokona." I whispered, looking down.

"Hey. If you ever need anyone to talk to, you always have me and Budo." Senpai said from behind me. I sighed as Senpai stood me up and walked over to the bench. I felt my head twitch and immediately knew why.

"I-I have to go to the bathroom." I muttered and walked to the bathroom. Inside I laughed, draining my insanity. I huffed and splashed water on my face before walking back up. I sat down on the bench again and looked at the floor.

"Ayano. Why would you try to jump from the roof?" Budo asked as he kneeled in front of me.

"I-I...." I trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"Ayano?" Senpai said. I looked over at him. "Do you have a crush on anyone?"

"Yes...why?" I said, trying not to blush.

"With everything going on...we think it would be better to have someone other than just two friends who pulled you out of class to be there for you." Budo said, looking at me. Seemed fair enough.

"I wish it was easy..." I muttered, looking at the sky again.

"Wish what was easy?" Senpai asked as he stared at me.

"Confessing." I whispered. "Everytime I try I get too nervous and..."

"Well, why don't you practice on Taro?" Budo suggested, pointing at Senpai. Taro? That's a nice name.

"I-I don't know..." I muttered.

"It'll be easy. All you have to do is say something to me, and then bam! You can confess to your crush." Senpai said as he moved to face me. I copied him, looking at his eyes.

"W-well...I..." I trailed off, looking down. I didn't know what to do.

"Start with his name, and the  describe how you feel about your crush." Budo instructed and I nodded.

"Taro. W-when I was born I wasn't a-able to feel emotions. W-when I met you I...I felt something. My heart was pounding, and I just knew it was love. A-and I...I love you." I said, looking away. Budo and Senpai both applauded me. I smiled, standing up.

"Ready to go confess?" Budo asked and stood up too. I looked down.

"I-I just d-did..." I muttered, starting to walk away. I heard footsteps and broke into a run. I ran out the school gates and headed to my house. I looked back and saw Taro. He looked...angry.

"Oh no..." I muttered, running faster as my house came into veiw. I fumbled for the key and unlocked the door, getting halfway in before he grabbed my hand and pulled me into him, kissing me passionately. My eyes widened in shock as he pulled away.

"I love you too, Ayano." He whispered, kissing me again.

"I-I'm sorry I-I'm not a good k-kisser..." I whispered when he pulled away.

"You're fine." He muttered as he rested his head against mine. We looked into each other's for a bit before a bell rang in the distance.

I sat up, a bit flustered about my dream. I headed up to the roof for lunch. I climbed on the railing where Senpai usually stood. I held my arms out and looked up at the sky. I smiled and looked down, waiting till I heard the doors open to start crying and take the step. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the ground. Senpai didn't come. I was too early. I opened my eyes to see Senpai holding me as he sat by the railing. I looked around, trying to act shocked. He held me closer, pushing me against him as he whispered sweet nothings on my head. I inwardly smiled as I wrapped my arms around his stomach and sobbed on him.

"Ayano?!" Budo yelled as he came up to us. I glared into Senpai's chest but kept sobbing. He ruined my moment with Senpai. "What happened Taro?!"

"She was on the railing. If I had been any later she would've jumped." He said and Budo rubbed my back.

I had gone home afterwards, well, more like Senpai carried me there. He now sat on the couch as I slept. At least...I hope he still is.

I opened my eyes a bit, yawning and stretching. Senpai was looking at me before he blinked.

"You feeling better?" He asked after a bit. I nodded and handed him the remote.

"You could've turned on the TV." I said, sitting up. He chuckled and smoothed my hair down. I sighed and layed down as I yawned.
