"Yes Akane?" The blue haired girl responded.

"I-I know you may know this but...I've liked you...for a very long time..."

A while back~

~Ayano POV~

I sat in a corner as the animals in the other cells reached through to get some of a highschool girl.

"Hey pretty baby. Come over to the bars~"

"I would rather f(umm)k a snake." I growled, sending him a glare.

"A feisty one. Even better."

"Hey~" The creepy guy in the cell next to me slurred as he reached one of his arms through.

"Go hey yourself." 

"Aww~ Come 'ere sweetcheeks."

"I swear to god I would rather rot in solitary confinement then be here."

"Is there a place for two in solitary confinement?" I looked up, seeing Budo smirking at me as the officer unlocked the door. I rolled my eyes and shoved passed them, making my way to the lobby. After Budo filled the paper work out we left, heading to wherever he was going.

"Hey, are you ok?" He asked me as we walked side by side in silence.

"Never better." I muttered sarcastically. 

"Hey. Look at me." I stopped before him.

"Seriously?! I went to jail because some jerk framed me, they didn't even ask me questions, and they locked me up next to a bunch of psychopaths! And you want to know if I'm ok?! No! I'm not!" I felt tears sting my eyes as I screeched at him. He sighed and cleared the distance between us. I stepped back as he tried to hug me.

"Three days. Three sleepless nights I had to listen to them talk. Do you know what that's like?" I kept my shaky voice quiet as he thought about something.

"You said three nights you didn't get sleep?" I nodded, confused on where this was going. "Come on." 

He picked me up bridal style, carrying me to his house.

"What are you doing?"

"My house is closer, and you need sleep. After three nights without sleep people start to hallucinate. Now we're going to go inside, and you're going to get some sleep." I huffed as he opened the door and carried me inside. Once it was shut and locked he took me up the stairs, setting me gently on a bed and climbing in next to me. I rolled onto my side, facing away from him as I closed my eyes. It felt good to be on a real bed, especially one as comfy as his.

~Emiko POV~ 

I jumped as a loud knock sounded from the door. So much for my ice cream and horror movie party. 

I reluctantly left the couch, opening the door to find Taro on the other side. Well, more like a chest considering he hugged me as soon I opened the door.
