"Don't be difficult sweetie, please eat something" I groaned dropping the spoon when he once again refused.
My patience was wearing thin, but I would never snap on him.
"But I'm n-"
"Don't you dare tell me your not hungry when you haven't eaten today" I warned him with a daring tone. He looked up at me with annoyance across his features, he was tired of me pestering him now.
"Mommy, I'm no-"
"You won't get strong if you don't eat, and you want to become an Alpha, right?" An unfamiliar yet strangely smooth voice spoke up.
My head snapped up to him as did leons, we didn't even sense the stranger.
As I breathed in his woodsy scent I realised he was a vampire. But strangely I didn't feel threatened by him.
What confused me the most was how he knew Leon was to be an alpha. He didn't even seem disgusted whilst he mentioned it like most vampires would.
"Scar, right?" He flashed me a surprisingly pearly white smile as he moved to Sit across the table. His movements a blur.
"Only to those I trust." I told him narrowing my eyes. He nodded not seeming to be offended.
His strange yet bright silver eyes flickered towards Leon who stared at him.
"Leon, the prophecy child" he commented with a slight tilt of his head.
"His fate can be changed." I ground out through gritted teeth as I eyed the vampire.
"I meant no harm, he just seems..too pure to fulfil his destiny" he tells me with curiosity lining his tone.
I nodded.
"We can talk about this another time." I stated firmly. Leon didn't need to know about possibly becoming the most evil creature to walk this earth.
"Who are you?" Leon asked him suddenly getting both of our attention. What surprised me most was the nonexistent fear he felt of the vampire.
His silver eyes caught mine, they were captivating which I'm sure he got a lot.
"Adonis, glad to be of service" he told Leon with a playful bow. Leon grinned at him seeming to like the vampire.
"Cool name" Leon told him excited to have met someone he liked.
The vampire grinned at him seeming not at all like a vampire. He looked to be a few years older than me, but being immortal could mean he was hundreds of years old. And yet despite his age, he sat across from Leon with a soft heart which no vampire had. Except maybe Rosa.
"Wait, why are you here? Rosa isn't supposed to be here until tonight" I narrowed my eyes wearily at him.
"She sent me to check in on you, believe it or not she's taken a liking to you, she says your different from the rest of your kind"
Because I'm the only one of my kind.
"Her people hunt werewolves" I told him with a blank voice.
He nodded "Not all of them, just troublemakers"
"Whatever" I huffed, uninterested. He seemed amused by this.
"It's not every day a wolf doesn't care about others of their kind" he commented with a curious voice. I wasn't about to tell him anything about me, despite how good looking he is.
"This isn't 21 fucking questions" I snapped at him icily. Something flickered in his eyes but before I could figure out what it was he masked it.
I could normally read people like an open book, but I couldn't with him. It was infuriating not knowing his intentions.
"Of course not, people who actually like on another only play that game" he told me with a blank look. For some reason I felt incredibly annoyed by his comment.
"You know where the door is"
Looking back down at Leon I tap his head gently to get him to look up at me. I was about to get serious with him, and tell him to eat.
But when I saw the sickly pale colour of his skin I reacted instantly. Picking him up I sit him on my lap, looking at him carefully.
"Leon, have you eaten anything from a stranger?" I asked worried, my heart pounding inside my chest.
The vampire appeared by my side, on instinct I bared my canines at him. My eyes filling with black ink, or so it appeared.
"Slades work" he hissed, after looking at Leon.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" I snarled standing with Leon in my arms. The vampire stepped back slightly, I realised he was taller than me by a lot. He was well built as well.
"John isn't an ordinary werewolf,..he's poisoned your son"
"He hasn't been near my so-...that motherfucker" I growled out, my voice deadly. Rage built up within me trying to take control, my beast clawing at my insides to tear the bastard responsible apart.
But I couldn't loose control. Leon needed me.
"My mother can help him" the vampire told me looking worried as he glanced at leons paling skin.
"But I'll need to take him, I can get to her faster th-"
"My son goes nowhere without me. Understood?" I snapped coldly. I didn't pay attention to his silver eyes, my son was more important.
"Take me to her" I ordered him with a vicious growl. He looked ready to kill as he watched Leon become even sicker, the life in his eyes fading.
My chest was suffocating me, I couldn't breath.
Like my vision all over again..
"Now!" with my final growl that rattled the table in the room he rushed into action.
He was worried about Leon, I knew the poison would kill him if we didn't act fast.
How the hell could I have allowed my son to be poisoned?!
We ran at lightening fast speed out of the mansion and into the hot summers day. The trees blurred around me as I head deeper into my father's land.
I didn't care that I could be possibly leading myself into a trap, I needed Leon to live.
Even if it killed me.
