The farther we walked the louder the rumbling got.

It wasn't until we reached the source of the rumbling that we found out what it was.

"WATERFALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" We all screamed as we pushed eachother in the crystal clear water.

Kaitlyn and I started splashing eachother when Janette joined in and it became an all out war.

The victor became unknown because we all practically gave up when a bunch of water got in our nose and eyes.

"Hey Kaitlyn," I said.

"Yea?" She turned around and I threw a salmon at her.

"Hey!" she said as it hit her on top of her head and squirmed around until it fell back in the water.

"Come here guys, theres a bunch over here," I said as I caught another.

"We can eat salmon!"

They walked over in the waist high water.

"I want to catch one," said Kaitlyn.

"Just look for their red and green fins," I said.

"Ok," said Janette.

There we went catching salmon for the next half hour and throwing them on the bank.

Afterward we climbed onto the bank and put the salmon into my duffel.

"Look at all this salmon!"said Katy.

"We're eating good tonight," I said cheerfully and we all laughed.

Then we heard a growl.

We all screamed..there stood a huge grizzly bear.

I whispered, "Okay just back away very slowly...I'm sure all he wants is the fish."

We all backed away leaving a bunch of the fish behind.

The bear went back on all fours and started eating the fish.

I whispered, "Hey guys look..theres a cave behind the waterfall..lets go hide there until it's gone."

We quickly made our way over to the cave.

"How are we going to get over there?" Asked Katy.

I thought about it as I looked around. I spotted a low branch that made its way over to the ledge.

I followed it and found it came from a tall oak.

"We climb this and crawl over to the ledge," I said.

We all started climbing the tree and crawling across the low branch.

One by one we dropped down onto the ledge and walked into the cave.

It was getting dark so I hoped the bear would leave soon so we could go "home"

It was strange calling that other cave home.

I guess it was the closest thing to home we would get.

So yeah it was home...at least for right now.
