Chapter 25: Rescued

(Here it is!! The last chapter!! I would like to thank my best friends Katy and Bri for helping me throughout everything, not just in this book but in other hard times in my life. If it weren't for them I would've deleted this book a long time ago. Thankyou to whoever else has read and supported this story. I luvs you!! I know this might not be the best book in the universe but it was my first book. Let's just say it was a start. I have improved in my books and this was just a beginning. Anyway let's get on with this. Also there WILL be an epilogue)

The rain started out as a sprinkle.

But after that it was pouring.

And when I say pouring I mean pouring.

I couldn't hear myself think over the noise of rain and thunder.

Lightning hit a tree beside us and we screamed as sparks flew everywhere.

A large branch fell into the pond right below us with a huge splash.

As for the pond, it was rising.

As the rain poured down I heard a sound that wasn't like the others.

"Guys do you hear that....." I yelled over the rain.

They stopped screaming and freaking out for a second and listened.

We all looked at eachother with wide eyes.

"Helicopter..." We whispered.

We scrambled out of the small cave.

As we landed in the pond the water was no longer knee-height but now reached above our waists.

We walked through it as fast as we could ignoring the fact that their could be snakes or other hidden creatures waiting to attack.

We reached land and hauled ourselves onto it.

I saw a black and white sheriff's helicopter flying above.

We yelled and screamed while waving our arms in the air.

"HELP US!!!!" I screamed.

"SOMEONE HELP US," We all screamed together.

The helicopter flew out of view and just like that it was gone.

"No...." I said falling to my knees.

I saw tears streaming down Katy's face and Bri's face went pale.

I saw her stumble a bit.

"Bri are you okay?" I asked and got up walking toward her.

I grabbed her arm.

"Bri?" I asked.

"I-I don't feel so-" she clasped in my arms.

"Bri?" I asked laying her down.

"Bri?!?!" I asked shaking her.

"No!!! Bri!!! Wake up!!!"

"Wake up I said!!!!!" Tears streamed down my face as Katy just kneeled beside us.

Her face was pale too.

"No Katy. What's wrong?!"

With that her eyes rolled back in her head and she slumped to the ground.

"NO! KATY! BRI! WAKE UP! PLEASE! Please..." I sobbed.

I started getting dizzy.

What's happening to us?

Everything was getting blurry.

The world was spinning.

I fell over.
