We climbed up to the cave. A tear trickled down my cheek. It all hit me at once...I just watched somebody die right before my eyes. And it wasn't just any somebody..it was my friend. Another person who is going through the same thing as I am. But I guess that saying is true.....What doesn't kill you makes you stronger....I definately felt stronger...in fact I felt like I could take anything the world threw at me. I felt invincible. But of course I'm not and never will be. I looked at Bri's wrist that she had sliced open. The ace bandage was already on her leg so I walked over to Katy's duffel that had my clothes in it. I dug around in it until I found the shirt I wore when we first got here. I tore the white tanktop and took the long strip over to Bri. I wrapped it around her cut and tied it. "Don't you dare try anything like that again," I growled at her. She nodded looking at her feet. I knew I was being harsh but I couldn't let her kill herself. I thought about losing Katy. I don't know what I would do if something happened to her. Probably end up trying to kill myself like Bri. I shook my head. I couldn't be thinking like this. I had to be positive. Yeah...positive. "We should try and get some sleep," said Katy sitting on the blanket. Janette's blanket.... I sighed and sat down. Katy was laying down looking at the ceiling. Bri was sitting on a big rock and messing around with some dandelions. She winced every once and a while from the pain in her wrist. I know that we were all sad but we needed to continue like normal. We weren't going to survive sitting around sad. I stood up and walked over to the three fish we had left. Just enough for each of us. I stabbed them onto a stick and gave one to Bri and Katy. I put mine over the fire and let it roast. Katy and Bri just looked at theirs. Katy put hers over the fire after a few minutes. Bri just stared at hers. I looked at her worriedly. She set it on the ground and sat down on the blanket. "Bri you gotta eat," I said. She shook her head. "C'mon Bri please," I said. She sighed and got back up. She picked up her fish and put it over the fire. "Thank you," I said looking back at my fish. After they were fully cooked we ate them to the bone. Ari woke up when he smelled food and came over. He sniffed the spot where Janette slept every night and looked up at me. I shook my head. He came over and licked my hand. "It's like he understands..." I said quietly. Bri and Katy nodded and I fed Ari pieces of fish. We all threw the bones out into the trees and walked back in. We layed down on the blanket and tried to go to sleep. I tossed and turned. This was going to be a long night.....
