Chapter 24: The Storm Is Coming! The Storm Is Coming!

(Hallo my fabulous readers!! So I know what your thinking, "OH MY FRICKIN GOD!!!! YOUR ACTUALLY UPDATING!!!" Well I have a reason! Sorta... Well I have been updating my other book "The Outsiders" a lot because everyone keeps telling me to. But I have decided to update this one for the people that would rather me update this.....Anyway..... ON WITH THE CHAPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

As I gave Katy a sip of water Bri looked around.

"Ummm Julia...." I heard her say.

"Yea?" I asked.

"Where's Ari..?"

"Didn't he sleep under the tree...?" I asked.

She nodded, "But he's not here now..."

My face fell at the thought of him being eaten by a wild animal.

Bri hugged me and said, "It's okay.."

I nodded and we pulled away.

I walked back over to Katy and she looked upset also.

"Does your head feel better yet?"

She nodded, "A little."

I looked up at the sky and saw dark clouds starting to form.

"We should get to higher ground, it looks like it's gonna rain," I said grabbing a duffel.

Katy and Bri also grabbed a duffel and we continued on walking.

I pushed tree branches and bushes out of the way and stumbled over fallen branches and brush.

Soon I saw a small cave above a small pond.

Perfect.

It looked high enough.

We splashed through the shallow water and over to the cave.

I hauled myself up and into it and then helped Katy and Bri up.

We sat just inside the cave and took small sips of water from the water bottle.

The clouds gathered more and got darker.

Even though it was afternoon the sky got dark and dull.

It was getting foggy and windy.

I sighed.

This didn't seem like some calm little storm.

But I was ready.

At least I hope I was......

(Yes, I know it is short but at least I updated. Also I am going to be working hard to finish this book. Yes, I know what your thinking, "THE END?!??!?!!?!" And yes it is going to end soon, but it all had to end sometime. It will probably end at around chapter 30 or so. Anyway!! Cya!!)
