**Jahera's POV**

There is an authority to Raquel's tone, despite her aged appearance. With her being one of the oldest beings alive on Earth and all, I suppose that makes sense. Peering behind me quickly, I can tell Terry is fuming at our situation since his eyes have begun to turn red. He still somehow manages to contain himself because he does not utter another word as Raquel slowly begins making her way down the handful of stairs to her hut. Eventually she comes to stand directly in front of us, eyeing us up the entire time. This tries Terry's patience as a minute ticks by in complete silence.

"Can you not see that one of us is severely wounded and needs medical attention!?" Terry finally unleashes his pent up anger.

Raquel's eyes land on Terry and with a mere purse of her lips, his body begins to convulse uncontrollably. The next thing I know, his screams of pain are echoing off the distant mountain sides as his limbs bend at unnatural angles. I watch in horror for a few seconds before the initial shock wears off. I feel the heat rising off my skin and it begins smoking as my anger grows. Terry didn't even do anything to her!

Raquel's gaze lands on me and before I even have a chance to react, I am suddenly shivering as ice cold water gets dumped on my head from empty space above me. Terry's screams continue as the snapping noise only grows louder.

"Enough! We have done nothing to you! Leave him alone!" I scream at the old witch.

She raises her hand and my lips zip shut completely. Unable to call upon my fire abilities or even open my mouth to speak, I try to break free of my handsome captor's grip but he holds onto my arms tightly behind my back.

"You are the ones that stepped foot into my forests and brought those hideous creatures with you. It has been a long time since I've seen a Doppelganger." She goes silent for a few moments with a distant look in her eye before she is snapped back into reality by another one of Terry's screams.

"No matter. The only question I have for you is why are the Overseers looking for a mere fire elemental, hmmm?" She leans in towards me and holds up a glass lens to peer at me with. My anger skyrockets at her abrasive lack of respect towards us and the remaining drops of water evaporate off of me in an instant. My body fully ignites into flames, causing my handsome captor to suddenly let go of me. However, I am still unable to open my mouth due to the witch's spell so I take a step towards her. She doesn't even flinch as I reach out my hands. White sparks go flying when I grab onto her arms, which reveals that she has cast some sort of barrier spell on herself for defense. Her contempt look feeds the fire within me as the ground below my feet starts to melt into lava.

"Ah, so that's why," Raquel mutters to herself more than anyone else. She then flicks her hand out, even though I'm still holding onto her arms. This causes my vision to go blurry as a sudden wave of exhaustion overwhelms me and causes me to let go of her arms. Shortly thereafter Terry's screams cease due to him finally losing consciousness. With both Terry and I laying on the ground in bad shape, we are completely vulnerable.

"You do not belong here, girl!" Raquel suddenly spits in my direction. "Your presence only disrupts the balance." She turns to my handsome captor standing over me and says the words I have been dreading most.

"Kill them."

With my now drained body, I barely have the strength to keep my eyes open to watch Raquel start walking away. I then glance at my handsome captor above me to see that he is no longer handsome. Instead, his body has transformed into a dark skinned, half wolf like being. It's massive wolf head snarls at me as he raises his now clawed arm to strike. Closing my eyes in fear, I don't even have the strength to cower as I accept my fate.

"So noisy."

My eyes pop open and I force myself to turn my head slightly in the direction the voice came from. Valerie is barely managing to stand with her right arm clutching at her midsection. Considering she's swaying in a pool of her own blood, it would be easy to assume she isn't a threat until I see her face. Half blood splattered and with a sneer, her body language screams "danger" as her eyes glow the most brilliant violet color I have ever seen.

Vampires eyes don't turn violet.

For the first time that day, Raquel actually shows surprise on her face, but it's quickly replaced with a look of disdain. She turns to the handsome man standing behind Valerie.

"Take those two to the infirmary and you," she says, pointing to Valerie. "Come with me." Her tone is final as she once again makes her way back towards her hut.

**President's POV**

The images of Valerie, Terry, and Jaheara grow dark as the scrying ball in front of me loses sight of them. They must have found Raquel since the barrier that conceals her also shields her from all forms of magic.  Although judging by the fact that Valerie and Jaheara were being carried before I lost sight of them, they did not make it unscathed. The Doppelgangers must have ambushed them shortly after they reached the mountain range.

A light knock on my door causes my attention to focus on the three vampire girls walking into the office. The one in front has very blonde hair and her uniform shirt is buttoned way too revealingly. The other two are obviously her followers, one with strawberry blonde hair and the other with brown.

She waits to speak to me until I address her first, a content look on her face. Instead, I make eye contact with her and then drop my eyes down to the unbuttoned shirt. It takes her a good twenty seconds to pick up on what I am doing since I continue to shift my eyes until she notices. Once she does, her eyes widen and she immediately blushes as she buttons up her uniform. Opening her mouth to undoubtedly spew apologies, I speak first.

"You must be Sabrina which means the two ladies behind you are April and Sara." The girls behind Sabrina shift uncomfortably, eyes downcast.

"Yes, that's us. What can we do for you, Mr. President?" Sabrina asks in an overly sweet tone.

"I called you all into my office because I have a task for you." Nodding in response, I continue. "As you all know, one of the Overseers has made an appearance on campus and I want you to spy on him."

"Why would you want us to do it? Wouldn't it be easier for a magic user like yourself to do that?" Her lack of intuition is most unsettling. Jacques would immediately suspect me if any magic were used on him. An inquisitive student, on the other hand, would be more expected to spy since Overseers are not known to make appearances on campus.

"Come come now, are you not the Sabrina that knows everything there is to know about someone on campus? I must have called for the wrong one..."

"No that's me and my girls alright!" She exclaims with a nervous chuckle.

"Splendid, I would hate to have wasted my time. Now, to the point then. I need you to spy on the Overseer and report to me his every movement on and off the campus. You have permission to leave class since this task takes precedence. Can you do this for me?"

"O-of course Mr. President. You can count on us!"

"Excellent. Only those of us in my office may be aware of this task. Do not let me down."

"We won't!" They all say in unison.

I begin shuffling papers and after several moments of silence, I look back up to see the three girls standing there expectantly. I sigh inwardly.

"Dismissed."

It's a wonder they don't trip over each other as they scurry out the door.
