**Sabrina's POV**
As April, Sarah, and I walk down the steps of the Red Moon dorm, I make out a hooded figure walking on the other side of the campus courtyard. I stop and nudge the girls on either side of me. They look at me in return and I simply nod my head in Jacques' direction. They immediately start to fan out. April circles around the left side of the courtyard, Sarah the right, and I walk straight towards him. On my slow approach across the large courtyard that spans out in the center of campus, I am careful to move behind the giant fountain in the smack dab middle of the courtyard so that Jacques' line of sight is blocked in case he decides to spontaneously turn around. Luckily, he doesn't and instead continues to make his way towards a small group of naturalists attempting to communicate with a squirrel. After engaging in conversation with the group, I find two fellow vampires standing nearby discussing this past weekend's party. I casually stroll up to them and join in on their discussion.
Over the past day alone, my girls and I have discovered many things about this Overseer, like how he's telepathic. It would have been nice to have known that from the start but I guess the President was too busy to add that detail. In order to prevent him from finding out about our spying on him, we have made sure to constantly talk to other people on campus so that when we are tailing him, our minds are focused on our conversations. So far, it's worked out for us perfectly. It also helps to be popular on campus because no one really questions our sudden intrusions.
Despite all our tailing, April has only caught the Overseer trying to get into the Red Moon Dorm, no doubt to talk to some fellow telepaths, which really isn't anything serious. Where it gets weird is that the President hasn't permitted him to enter any of the dorms unless the Overseer can provide documentation stating that a safety code may be in violation. Only then does the Overseer have permission to enter the building in order to inspect it. Must be a new rule in order to protect the students' privacy because I've never heard of an Overseer going into the dorms being an issue before.
The two vampires that were standing in front of me say their goodbyes to one another and head off to their classes right as Jacques breaks away from the group of naturalists. He once again heads across the courtyard while all the other students standing around socializing also begin heading to their classes. With the courtyard rapidly becoming deserted, April, Sarah, and I meet up on the other side of the fountain and begin walking together again. Jacques walks around the side of a classroom building in between the Blue and Yellow Moon dorms. With no one else around, our minds are vulnerable so I whip out my MP3 player and start blasting Woman Woman by AWOLNATION whilst loudly singing along. April and Sarah pick up on this and join in as we pretend to be heading into the building that Jacques just walked around.
If Jacques hadn't attempted to do a subtle scan of the area before disappearing around the side of the building, I wouldn't have suspected him of acting suspicious and just would have gone to class, but now he has my attention. I stop my girls right before we are about to walk into the building and am careful to not give my thoughts away too much as I quietly speak to April and Sarah while the music continues to blare.
"Did you guys see that?"
They both nod without a word, waiting for my instructions.
"Alright, since he's far enough away, let's just sneak around the side of the building to see where he's going. We have to keep playing the song inside our heads, though, so we don't get caught. We move on my mark."
They nod again so I raise my hand with three fingers up. Counting down, my MP3 player goes quiet right as I reach zero and we begin to move down along the wall on the front side of the building. I can hear them mouthing the words and beat of the song as we make our way to the corner. Once we reach it, we peek around, one head above the other like characters peering around a corner in a movie. The building has a weird trapezoid shape so when we peer around the side of it, Jacques can be seen several yards away just staring at the building's wall. Because of the building's angle, Jacques' back is turned more towards us so there is no way for him to see us out of his peripheral vision.
