We walked into this Asian food place. The food smelled so good, it was like a little hole in the wall place, but it was very popular.
Sitting down, eating our food, Erica started telling me about herself, her life story, etc. I wasn't really paying attention, I was so distracted by that gorgeous face of hers.
"Cyn... Cyn... CYNTHIA" erica yelled, trying to get my attention.
"Oh shit, my bad" I giggled
"Did you even hear a word that I said? Or are you too into the kid, to pay attention. I see how you look at me" she grinned, and I couldn't hide my smile.
"It's hard to pay attention, with such beauty in my face, what was it that you said?"
Her cheeks instantly turned red. "I was asking why you moved from New York to Houston? That's like a major down grade"
"Well to be honest, I came just to get away. I've been there my whole entire life, and it's nothing but the same thing, over and over again. I wanted something new. Atlanta was a choice, but my Bestfriend Alexis, has been begging me to come down here, so I just said fuck it, and came. Plus there's new business opportunities down here for me."
"But there's tons of business opportunities in New York... I get what you mean though, I've been wanting to get out of Texas and move to California".
We continued to talk about our lives, and I realized that we both had a lot in common.

Later that night
After lunch Erica took me on a tour of the city. She showed me different shopping centers, the best grocery stores too go to, which highways and back streets to take, to get to certain places faster. Etc.
"I really enjoyed myself, thank you for lunch, and the tour around town, I really appreciate it." I said as I was getting out of her car, walking towards Alexis's apartment.
"No need to thank me, I liked having you around, we should do this more often.
I smiled, and then Erica got out of her car...
"Let me walk you upstairs....."
