I pulled the arrow back and pointed it at his face without turning around. The group looked back at me and the stranger behind me. I heard the sound of metal cutting through something. I looked at my arrow which had been sawed in two. I was about to pull another when he spoke.

"Don't even think about it."

I felt smooth, cool metal brush against my neck. I put my bow down and he walked out infront of me. His blade's flat side was to my neck and the point was to my throat. I slowly lifted my hands, and felt my mouth go dry. He took a slow pace until he was right infront of me. He had blonde, curly, hair that reached his shoulders. He wore a dark leather shirt and jacket. Animal hide for pants and leather boots. He had a hat that covered most of his golden hair and kept the sun out of his eyes. He had a belt with a holster that matched his sword, and a revolver. All his clothes were to big and baggy and would be a little cold since it was winter. He looked like a cowboy.

"If ya think you'll outsmart me, then ya better be awefull brave. Ya gotta name?"

"Jeffrey." I said confidently even though his blade was to my throat

"Jeff eh?" he said pulling out a cigarette and lighting it, "That's nice."

"Well well well," Blain said, "He looks, smells, and even acts weird."

I tried to act conident for my group but it was a little hard. I kept a straight face, but was sweating like crazy. I had so many thoughts. If he wasn't on our team then I would be dead by now, so who was this guy?

"My name is Antonio Galli." he said almost as if he read my mind

"One second while I add to my list of weirdness. Weird name." Blain wispered to himself

"I am a resident here at New York." he said

"Weird acscent." Blain whispered to himself again

"I'm wondering what happened to the adults."

"Weird hat." Blain said

Ignoring him the boy went on, "I have made carfull decisions on who to make my friend or foe. The zombies, are foe, the legion, is foe, the rest is in between. What is your buisness here, so I can gudge you?"

"We are here to solve the disease and fight off the zombies," I chocked out, "We don't wish any harm, we just want safe passage to do our mission."

"Nevermind he's not weird..." Blain said

"Fine since I have the same mission as you, I shall join you." he said putting away his sword

"He's an idiot." Blain said

"Are you sure? There's a little bit more to it than that. Half our group is missing and half a city is on our side" I said

"Yes." he said

"Okay welcome to the group. This is Blain, Rose and Leah." I introduced my friends.

"Hallo" he said taking off his hat and shaking their hands

When he got to Rose he had a funny look in his eye. I didn't know what it was but I knew it wasn't good.

"I think we're going to be good friends." he said hugging Blain

"Nope," Blain wheezed, "He's just crazy."

Then I saw Blain take out a dog treat and put it in Antonio's back pocket.

"And I want you to meet my eight best friends." he said pointing at the pugs

They all leaped on Antonio and looked despritly for the treat, covering him in slimey saliva. He laughed as they liked his face. He put the dogs aside and stood up, as the dog drool ran from his face.

"Ha ha." he said as I gave him a hankerchief, "I like your friends."

He kneeled down and gave each a pet on the head.

"Woah," I said, "We better get moving again if we want to meet back before sunset."

We started to walk, but Antonio stayed behind.

"Come on." Rose said

"Where are we going?" he asked

"We're going to the zoo and then meeting back with our team." Leah said

"But what about the zombies?" he asked

"What zombies? They're all outside the city." Rose said

"No! They're inside as well. They are already halfway across the city!" he said

Those words just made the mission a hundred times harder.
