Percy wasn't having the best of days. Annabeth was in the infirmary with more reoccurring ankle pain, Leo and Calypso headed off with Apollo-Lester-and Piper was sick. Not to mention the whole camp was nearly laid low by the recent viruses going around camp all varying from the common cold to the nastiest flu, and he still hadn't recovered from the stupid head cold thing. Instead of sneezing constantly he was left with a severe headache that left him reeling every time he turned his head.

Ever since Zeus went 'dad mode' on Apollo, sickness seemed to run rampant through the whole camp. The only one unaffected was Jason, and he was about as moody as everyone else. Percy was starting to get sick of not only the low atmosphere of the usual bustling camp, but also Jason's attitude.

He had sat beside Jason earlier this morning after jogging from the infirmary to check on Annabeth. Jason was scowling at the coin in his hand, reflecting the cloudy sky above them. His negativity seemed to waft off of him in static waves. In fact, Percy swore he saw sparks popping off Jason's fingers.

He nudged him with his shoulder. 'What's gotten into you?"

Jason hissed out a breath. "Dad."

This wasn't unusual nowadays. With the mighty assho-um, Zeus, or Jupiter, whatever, stewing in his shame and anger over Hera's and Apollo's involvement in the war, he was stricter and less emphasizing than usual. Which considering his normal circumstances, this was hard to go below the norm for Zeus.

"What did he do this time?" Percy asked, and immediately regretted saying that.

Jason only snarled, his unconscious wolf like habits coming to life. "He visited Camp Jupiter, as Zeus, so the whole camp was freaking out, thinking it was some omen and dad just got angrier with them and nearly blasts the new statue of Neptune because you know, your dad and him don't get along. And I tried to talk to him, he just, the pressure in the air lowered and we all fell down and couldn't breathe. I couldn't even hear what he was saying it was so loud and he just leaves without saying why he came.

You know what makes it even better, Hera came after that on the way back here. She explained he wished for a sacrifice, he wanted the gods to revert to the old ways, and the others did too. She wasn't even supposed to see me because Dad was 'restricting' them again. And she just leaves me hanging."

Percy sighed. "You know that's how they are, Jay. It sucks, but I don't think we can do anything about it without getting killed."

"Like that doesn't happen enough."

Percy put a hand on his face and dragged it down slowly. The edge creeping in Jason's voice sounded like a certain voice he had heard only a few years ago, full of hate and revenge.

"Look, I know Jason. We're demigods, we didn't ask for this but its how it is. I'm trying to accept it, it's hard but it's the only way."

"It shouldn't have to be like this!"

"But it is! I don't like it just as much as you do, but we cant change this."

Jason stood up quickly. "It's been long enough for us like this. You of all people should know what it's like to be a demigod under the weight of the gods. You know!"

Percy wasn't sure if it was the sickness permeating his thoughts or his frustration that was making him so angry, but either way his hands were still shaking. "I do know. And I cant help that. Annabeth cant, I cant. no one can."

"That's what is so stupid about this! We need a change, we cant live with the gods breathing down on our necks every living moment of our lives. We cant even sleep in peace Percy! We need control." Jason's eyes were red and burning with anger and tears alike. His head shook slowly from side to side. "We need control."
