This one is kind of sad. Inspiration from headcanon I read.

"Hey, you want to do the haunted house up there?" Jason pointed to a glowing building up ahead. It was obviously just put up for the season and would disappear the next day.

Percy shoved his hands into his pockets. "Yeah I'm up for it. I used to love them when I was younger. Haven't been in one for a while."

"Ooo are you scared?" Piper teased. Percy shove her playfully and smiled. Their footsteps were in sync and Percy felt shivers run down his spine from the pleasing crunch of the leaves.

It was Halloween and Piper, Jason, and Percy wanted to celebrate. Obviously too old to trick or treat (sadly), they wandered the streets laughing at every jumpscare people gave them and walking further along the streets.

They came up to the old shack and could see strobe lights and shadows cross the windows.

"Spooky," Percy rolled his eyes.

"Brave aren't we?" Piper joked. "You've been through Tarturaus and back, this should be easy."

Percy shivered dramatically. "Ugh. You're right, this will be easy."

"Let's get in line," Jason herded them away and into the twenty feet line. Percy marveled at the fact it was so short on Halloween.

"Wonder why there's not a lot of people," he muttered and shifted his weight from foot to foot. The air was reaching freezing level and they were ten feet away.

The person in front of them turned around. She had striking violet eyes and red lips. Her hair was shiny black and curly. She flashed a white smile. Must be a daughter of Diony-Baccus.

"Ive heard that this is the scariest one yet. People have been escorted out. There's exits on the sides. Someone passed out earlier too," she cackled. "I love thrill, this will be fun." She swished her head back around and faced the front.

Percy's stomach dropped a bit. People had to leave early? Was it that bad? What was in there? Well, he had been through literal hell and back. This-this shouldn't be a problem. He hoped.

"What's wrong Mr. Grumpy Gills?" Piper nudged him using her best dori voice. She teased him a lot about it when he admitted his love for Nemo as s child. Jason laughed.

"Shut up," Percy grumbled. "Just.. A little nervous. I haven't been in one in years."

Jason out his hand on Percy's shoulder,"Hey, it'll be fine. I'll hold your hand," Jason grinned.

"Uh uh Sparky, I'm holding your hand."

"I've got two, you know."

"Guys," Percy interjected,"I'll be fine. I don't need to hold your hand, Jason. Thanks for the offer."

They were nearly at the front and his eyes were starting to hurt a little from the constant flashing lights. He heard screams inside. Piper grimaced. She untangled herself from Jason's hold and walked a few steps to the side. "You know, I don't-I don't think I want to do this. He-HEY! There's Annabeth! I'll meet you later." She ran to Annabeth who was striding over. She had a mini conversation and Annabeth nodded. The two girls sat down on conveniently placed haystack benches about fifteen feet away. Annabeth waved and Percy gave a quick one back.

"Hey, it's time." Jason nudged him foward and Percy stumbled. He regained composure and
He had Jason walked into the blinding strobes.
