"Your thread can be found behind a flower bed."

"Well that narrows it down to about the entire woods," Shawn grumbled, putting his bag back over his shoulder.

"Well, let's just get this show on the road," Jade replied, moving her way down the bank.

"Where are you going?" I asked her, tilting my head.

"To the flowers. Can't you smell them?" She never turned back around as she spoke, so Shawn and I had no other choice but to follow.

Currently...

8:00 pm on Friday

The only sound heard was the crunch and crack of the fallen leaves under our feet as we followed the crazy blonde through the woods. I looked to my right in attempt to read Shawn's face to see what he was thinking, but his eyes were focused solely on Jade's bum. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head, and looked ahead again.

As we walked on, my thoughts began to drift, but everything became clouded by thoughts of her. Her smile. Her hair. Her scintillating sapphire eyes that never seemed to look at me. Everything about her was perfect in my book. The fact that she didn't even know of my existence made my heart ache.

Shawn's gruff voice pulled me from my thoughts, "Are we almost there?"

"Yeah, almost there," Jade responded.

I adjusted my fanny pack along my waist, pushing my glasses up my nose, "Tell me again how you know what way to go?" I asked.

Jade huffed, but continued on throwing her hands in the air, "I told you. My dad worked with Kim K to make her perfume, and I helped them smell all the flowers and chemicals. I now have a very keen sense of smell because I helped make a perfume."

My mouth formed an 'o' and my eyebrows went up, "I see."

Shawn stretched his neck by rotating his neck before asking rather distractedly, "So you met Kim Kardashian and helped make her fragrance?"

Jade stomped her foot in frustration, "Yes! I got a selfie with her!"

Shawn scoffed, "That you won't show us. How do we know you're telling the truth?"

I watched these two argue like children in front of me. Jade had her hands on her hips, toe to toe with the big man. Shawn held his bag on his shoulder, staring down at petite woman. It was like watching two siblings pester each other-they just wanted to get a rise out of each other.

"God damn it! I look like a constipated ninety year old platypus in it! I swore to myself that I wouldn't let anyone see that ratchet picture!" Jade shouted in frustration, crossing her arms across her chest.

Shawn sighed in defeat, his voice actually softening, "Listen, I swear I won't judge you. Just let me see it... please," His eyes were wide and innocent as he looked at her. Jade stared at Shawn as if she was contemplating on actually showing him the picture. I looked beyond the two to see a small shed in the distance. I focused on Jade and Shawn again, just in time to watch the innocent look in his eyes falter. Something else took it's place: Mischief.

Jade sighed before reaching into her bag to pull out her phone. She pressed on the screen before stepping closer to us. Although it was dark, I noticed her cheeks were red, and it wasn't from all the blush she had on. When she turned the phone around, I had to suppress my laughter so she could keep her dignity. She hadn't lied.
