"I saw Cabin in the Woods. Nope. No way am I going anywhere near that," Charlie rushed out, backing away from the group.
"Jade could be there!" Katie squealed, wrapping her hands around Shawn's arm.
Jamey moved to the front of the group, "Let's check it out."
Jamey lead the group to the shadow they believed was the house. They followed her with absolute confidence that this would hold the key to everything they've been waiting for all night.
Little did they know, that little cabin in the woods would hold more truths than they were ready to discover.

6:30 am on Saturday
"We can't all just go up the house, what if there's a mass murderer in there?" Amber said once they arrived at a white picket fence about fifty to sixty feet away from the house. From under the moonlight, the kids were able to see more detail. They were now able to see an old log cabin. It looked like a simple square cabin an eight year old would make with Lincoln Logs. It was a medium sized house with some vines starting to grow up one of the sides. It seemed there were no lights on, but the land wasn't over grown enough to be abandoned. It was this notion that left the teens weary of whose property they were about to enter.
Jamey spoke, "I think only a few of us should go, and the others should stay here," she looked around at the other's who didn't seem to be following her plan, "You know to keep watch. If there's someone in there, we will tell you, or if there's someone coming then you guys tell us."
A few of the teenagers still seemed unsure, so Wyatt added, "We can have a signal. Kyle, flash your pen light at us if someone is coming, and we will use one of Chris's lighters to signal to you guys. If either of us flash the light, we all run to towards the water which is that way." He then pointed into the distance.
"I think Charlie, John, Shawn, Wyatt, and I should go, and the rest of you stay here," Jamey suggested. They all seemed to agree on that, except Charlie.
"Oh hell to the no!" she exclaimed in a whisper yell. Worry was written all over her face. Mikie frowned as he saw the bags under her eyes and the frown lines etched into her skin.
Chris huffed in frustration, "Just go. It doesn't even look like there's anyone there anyway."
Charlie's expression didn't change so Mikie found a little bit of courage to step closer to her, and place his hand on her cheek, "You got this, you're going to be okay. If we suspect anything is wrong we will flash the light, and we run. I won't leave you."
Everyone looked at the two, as their touching moment seemed to shatter the tense bubble they've been walking in for awhile.
Charlie seemed to visibly calm down with his words and touch. Her breathing calmed down, and her frown flipped for a split second. "Okay, I can do this."
They all quiety cheered her on, and they all gave their last reassurances to each other before Chris gave Shawn one of his lighters, and half of the group began to walk to the house.
With each step the tension began to grow even thicker than before. It was like a balloon forming over them, causing sweat to drip down their forehead and more fear to boil in their stomachs. The feeling of anxiety they felt was unbearable.
As they walked closer, Shawn happened to glance down at the right moment to see clear footprints, but the concerning part was the size of the footprints and what ran alongside the prints. They were large, obviously a man's, and adjacent to them was a long trail. The trail was wide and based on how deep the trail was, it was clearly something heavy.
