"Let's just stop bickering, we need to get moving. Let's go." Shawn rolled his eyes before leading the rest back into the ominous woods away from the rising sun.

As the group moved in towards the house, each of them shoved the one idea none of them wanted to admit to each other to the back of their minds.

What if their plan doesn't work?

Who's going to save Jade?

Who's going to save them?

7:45 am Saturday

Without a second thought, the boys approached the house on their tip toes. Chris went to the front door while the rest snuck up to the back. They looked into the window to see Jade still on the table, but no one else was anywhere to be found. They slowly approached the door, and tried the handle. Luckily, the man wasn't smart enough to lock the door. They slowly opened the heavy, wooden door, trying to keep it from squeaking too much. Kyle quickly rushed to Jade's side and tried to untie her, seeing her unconscious form made him extremely worried.

While he was preoccupied in the kitchen, the sound of a flushing toilet cut through the silence which was beginning to deafen the boys. Once determining the sound came from a room down the hallway to the right, they each flanked a wall across from each other with their backs against the wall so that the mystery man would not spot them.

With pounding hearts and sweaty bodies, they stood strong. With each step closer down the hallway, Shawn and Wyatt's bodies grew more rigid with fright. Shawn's lacrosse stick held firmly in his hands, and Wyatt's knife open, they peered around the corner.

They heard the water running, but they were growing impatient. Soon enough the sound of the door opening and the heavy thud of boots on the floor followed. Shawn waited until the moment the boots were the closest to spin out and try to hit the man.

However, the guy reacted and held the stick off. In a panic, Wyatt jumped onto the man's back while Shawn and him wrestled to get the lacrosse stick. The weight of Wyatt pushed the two forward to the center of the living room where Shawn tripped on the corner of a chair. They hit the floor with a loud thud, sending Wyatt's knife somewhere across the floor.

As they continued to fight in the living room, on the front porch, Chris was rummaging around in his bag for drugs. He was so caught up that he didn't even notice Katie sneak in with her curling iron. She instantly saw the fist fight going on and began swinging the curling iron around her head like a lasso.

"Duck!" She yelled. Shawn and Wyatt quickly hit the floor while the man turned to see where the other voice came from, but Katie used all of her might to swing the curling iron right into his face.

A loud crack and a sizzling sound erupted as she hit him in the head with the hot iron. The man instantly hit the floor with a heavy thud. Kyle emerged from the kitchen with Jade in his arms and he, Shawn, and Wyatt all looked at the girl. She was breathing heavily and staring at the man.

He was caucasian, tall with a big build. He had dirty, blonde, messy hair, a jagged scar across his face, and now a huge burn mark on his forehead.

"John!" Shawn called, and almost instantly John entered the room.

His eyes were big as he observed the scene in front of him, "Is Jade okay?"

Kyle nodded, "I think he drugged her, but she's breathing."
