Katie swallowed hard, closing her eyes. She took a deep breath and fell asleep, thinking of how she was going to tell Jade's parents when this night was over. Exhaustion slowly crept over the girl. Each teen fell asleep, but not a single one noticed the extra shadow by the window.

No, they didn't notice the shadow by the window.

Watching them as they slept.

Waiting.

4:00 am on Saturday

The warmth from the fire was gone, causing Jamey to wake up shivering. Someone must have drifted off before turning the fire. She shook her head in dismay as she stood up, brushing herself off. She felt her clothes, which were slightly damp, as she looked around at the fellow teens. Several images from the night flashed through her mind before she turned her head to look outside. It was still dark, but her body didn't feel like moving. Her mind took over first, and she set to the fire again. Once the flames were warming up the damp shed, she looked back out the window. A shadow caught her attention as it moved from under a tree. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she looked again, but decided it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. She was just exhausted from the escapades she's faced.

"Jamey? Is that you?" Wyatt's gruff morning voice cut through the peaceful morning air, scaring the girl and causing her to jump back a bit.

She looked Wyatt's way and let out a breath of relief, "Yeah, sorry you scared me."

Wyatt sat up and stretched out before quietly standing up, and walking over to his bag to retrieve one of his many half empty water bottles. "Want some?" he offered to Jamey in a hushed voice as to not wake anyone else up.

Jamey quietly accepted, and Wyatt attempted to toss a water bottle to her, but because of his groggy state the bottle ended up hitting Charlie in the head.

She jumped up with a start, and let out a blood curtailing scream that put bats to shame. Her call to attention pulled almost everyone else from their slumber.

"It's okay, you're safe." Jamey said in as calm a voice as she could, as the loud scream startled her a bit.

John rubbed his face and asked, "What's going on?"

"These nincompoops hit me in the head like some kind of neanderthals." Charlie pointed over at Jamey and Wyatt as she sat up, moving to see if her clothes were dry.

Wyatt groaned, "It was an accident. I was waking up, and my aim was off." He moved over to inspect his clothes as well. Seeing they were dry, he put them back on.

"What time is it?" John spoke quietly, his eyes moving over to Amber who was pulling down her jacket as she sat up. He watched the girl for a while, not caring if the others noticed or not. He admired the way the flames lit up her eyes, accentuating the curves in her face.

He was torn out of his daze by Kyle's scratchy voice, "Three.."

"Guess we should get a move on," John stood up, looking over his own clothes hanging on the rope.

"Yeah, I guess so," Shawn said as his joints popped and cracked while he stood up.

"But my clothes aren't dry!" Katie stomped her foot as she yanked her clothes from the rope, upset.

"The Drug Lord is still asleep," Jamey walked over to Chris, nudging him with her foot. He didn't budge or move a muscle, completely unaware of his surroundings.
