Several thousands of people attend the largest release of lanterns on the grounds behind Mae Jo University at the Lanna Dhutanka grounds in Chiang Mai. Jacob lift his phone to his ears... calling the tuktuk driver he hired to take him to the University. "Swasdī, can you pick me up here at exactly 3PM?", Jacob said to the driver. It can take up to approximately two hours or less from Le Meridien Chiang Mai hotel to the University depending on traffic. He arrived at the University an hour before the lighting of lantern begins. There's a lot of people sitting on the grass while waiting. He went for a walk to buy his own lantern... "theadi?"(how much in thai),Jacob asked.. "100 baht", the old woman replied... He noticed that all of the lanterns are the same, and you have nothing to choose from... " why does all of your lanterns have the same size?", Jacob asked curiously... "The reason for this is to keep them all the same size so it looks better", the old woman replied with a weird english accent... Jacob nodded to agree
Twenty minutes before the lighting of lanterns, while on his way back to his post, he accidentally bump into a woman... "watch it!", the woman said angrily... "sorry, I didn't see you coming, are you hurt?", he said.. "You nearly bumped me off the edge!" He was about to apologize again when the woman is walking away from him already. " I already said sorry", he whispered... But He noticed that her eyes are red, and she obviously been crying.
He went back to the site and the people are counting down, he kneeled down to lit his lantern to get ready to release his lantern, In a distant, he saw the same woman, holding her own lantern.. "She looked sad", he said. The woman is strikingly beautiful, she has a slender figure, Morena and around 5'4" in height. The people are counting from ten descending... then everyone released the lantern at once... everyone was amazed by the visuals and the emotional event behold... some hugged each other, some couples kissed while watching their lantern, He looked up and said "One day, I will bring her here and kiss her".
