We Could Happen

CHAPTER TWO

His one week vacation in thailand has come to an end, now he needs to go back in Cebu to manage his business and to see his mom.
While on the plane, thirty-four thousand feet above Manila. outside the window, A bank of clouds appeared on the horizon, inching slowly across the sky, slipping accross the moon and blocking out it's radiant light.
Jacob eased back in his seat, he turned his eyes one last time to the heavens. " I don't feel empty anymore, I feel like i was reborn".
When he arrived at Mactan Airport, his friends, Paul Jake, Ryan and Nathan are waiting for him at the Lobby.
When Paul saw him coming, he raised his arms to get Jacob's attention... he approached them with a smiling face.."Hey dude, how are you?", Paul asked... "I'm good, Kamo Kamusta?", Jacob replied speaking vernacular.
then Ryan and Nathan gave him a gaily hug and they all laughed..
"You've been gone for a week, let's have a drink?",Ryan said... "Yeah sure, Same place?" Jacob asked.. "Well then, I'll get the car, you guys wait here", Paul said.
While on their way to LIV superclub, that is located at the City Times Square near Parkmall in Mandaue City.
Paul: "how was your Vacation in Chiang Mai? Daghan ug gwapa didto?"
Jacob: "Okay lang bro, The place is nice, and i love their food, it's not that expensive, you should bring Kaye there and witness the Yi Peng Lantern Festival, I know you will both love it."
Paul and Kaye were engaged and Jake's proposal to Kaye went viral online, it started out as a surprise birthday party for Kaye organized by her boyfriend Paul Jake,ended with the biggest surprise,not only for Kaye but for everyone in the party! no one in the party knew that he was proposing that night except her immediate family. It was such a sweet wedding proposal. there were absolutely no dry eyes in the venue, overwhelming tears of joy for Paul Jake and Kaye.
His friends Ryan and Nathan are both in a long term relationship.
Ryan: Guys, I am planning to ask diane to marry me next year".
A few moment of silence filled inside the car...
Paul: " Seriously?, Wala pa gani mo naka abot ug Usa ka Tuig, magpakasal naka?"
Ryan: "It is not about how long you know her bro, I love her, she loves me. Unsa pa man ang dugayan?"
Paul and Nathan chuckled and their looks turned to Jacob.
Jacob: "Alright, I get it. patience is a virtue they said".
Paul: "It's been a couple of years bro. it's time for you to be happy".
Jacob: "I'm okay bro, Since i got here, I really don't feel empty anymore. I guess the Yi Peng Lantern Festival is effective!"
Nathan: Well then! Lets cheers to that!
They all went inside around 11PM and settled in a VIP table. The vip table costs P4,000 consumable. the staffs are really friendly and attentive. they have a push button at the VIP table when you want to order food and drinks. Every corner of the club is beamed with laser lights and every table are decorated with lights.
The crowd mix was wide. there was a group of Australian looking women, and a group of Indian looking men. some tables are occupied by young professionals.
Ryan: "Let's order a bottle of Jose Cuervo?".
Jacob: "I'm fine with that".
Jake: " I prefer beer, mag drive ba raba ko."
Nathan: " Any will do".
Ryan nodded and pressed the button to call the staff's attention to get their orders.
After a couple of hours chatting and drinking, Jacob,Nathan and Ryan are all drunk except Paul.
The music mix was good and the sound system at LIV was very crisp and the bass was heart pounding.
They suddenly found themselves in the middle dance floor and making friends with three 20sh girls. They easily made friends with them while the rest of the group started dancing.
It was past 2AM in the morning when they decided to go home. While Jacob,who was so drunk that he could barely walk, Paul take him home in his condo unit at Marco Polo Residences in Lahug, It's less than an Hour drive from Mandaue City without traffic...
