3) Pancakes & Lifeguards

~Drew's POV~

What was I thinking?

I watched her walk out of the door quickly with the bowl of popcorn in her hands.

I leaned back against the counter, and waited for a few moments. There's no way I could go back in there and suffer more of that movie. I waited for even longer, it was going to look weird if I didn't return though, I said I was only going to the toilet. All of a sudden Levi appeared in the doorway.

"You Okay?" He asked coming closer over to me.

"Yeah I'm Okay I'm just getting a drink" I leaned up to open the cabinet and grabbed a glass, filling it with water.

"You know I really appreciate you looking out for Lily like you did today" He said with a smile

"What?" I said nervously

"You know giving her your jacket, that was really nice of you she gets really embarrassed by things like that, she's always fussing about her appearance."

"Oh Yeah, no problem" I said relaxing slightly

"Are you coming back to finish the movie?" He asked looking directly at me

"Yeah lets go" I said finishing my water and following him back to the couch.

~Lily's POV~

I saw Levi re-enter the room, Drew following him. Neither Levi or Drew met my gaze, what had Levi said to Drew? They both sat down and pressed play to carry on watching the movie, and I sat back down next to Austin who smiled at me.

The movie ended after another hour, and I still had no idea what it was about, as I had been distracted by the events of tonight. The minute the credits started to roll I bolted upstairs to my room, changed and got into bed. I was tired before but I was now wide away I stared at the ceiling hoping that everything would go back to normal in the morning.

~Lily's POV~

I didn't even hear mom come in last night, but this was normal. She'd had been staying at Linda's every other night to make sure everything was prepared. Sure enough when I looked at my phone there was a text saying:

'Hey Honey, Staying at Linda's tonight as we've decided black isn't the best color for bridesmaids dresses, and now have to re-think the entire color scheme. I'll be going straight to work tomorrow from here, so see you in the evening! Mom xx'

Well atleast that meant that I could go out today wherever I wanted. I got up and ready in about ten minutes, and they made my way down the stairs to the kitchen to make breakfast. As I walked around the corner to get a plate from the cabinet, I nearly screamed at the shock of Drew sitting on the barstool next to the kitchen counter.

"Drew! What are you doing awake?!" I questioned out of breath from the surprise

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" He said "I was just about to make myself some breakfast" He held up both of his hands innocently

"Well where are the other guys?" I asked grabbing two plates instead of one.

"They are all asleep, I'm always the first one awake" He explained.

"Oh" I said simply it all of a sudden became very awkward.

I decided since mom was out I would make pancakes. I mixed all the ingredients together into the batter, and Drew watched me carefully the entire time. I poured a small amount of mixture into a frying pan, and left that side to cook before flipping it over with a spatula and cooking the other side.
