Josh came over almost everyday that week with decorations and different ideas to surprise Ruby. They had his everything in Tyler and Jenna's room where she would never look. Tyler picked out the cake, and Jenna knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday.
The day rolled around pretty quick. Ruby was awoken by her family with breakfast in bed. Josh tried making pancake but failed, so then Jenna remade them to perfection. Alex made Ruby a card. He wrote her name on it in Ruby red and gave her a big hug.
Josh, Jenna, and Tyler's families came to visit for the special occasion.
Along with the crew and a few of Ruby's friends.
Jenna had bought Ruby a beautiful black dress to wear along with her first pair of heels. She did her hair and Tyler let his little girl wear lip gloss for the first time. Everyone sat around Sharing stories and looking at baby pictures of Ruby. Tyler then spoke up indicating that he wanted to tell Ruby about her adoption, and he wanted the families support.
"So we wanted to tell you some stuff about you that you may not know" Tyler began.
"You don't look like me or your mom, and you have your own unique personality. Ruby, your mom and me adopted you when you were just 7 months. Your family had left you in a foster home, and you didn't have an exact birthday. We brought you into our family because we wanted you to have an amazing life, and when we first saw you we knew you were the one that would make our family perfect." He finished.
Everyone looked at Ruby waiting for her to say whatever was on her mind.
She cleared her throat and began to speak.
"Thank you for giving me an amazing life, and always protecting me. You might not be my family by blood, but we share a love so deep the ocean would be jealous." She began to tear up slightly.
Everyone cheered and hugged. It wasn't the reaction they thought would come, but everyone was happy that Ruby knew she was loved by many.
There was a small intermission during desert time before the cake. Tyler wanted a daughter and dad dance with Ruby.
Tyler Interlocked his hand with Ruby's, and brought her on the hardwood floor to dance.
He began to sing a song he had wrote especially for his little girl. She would always be his little girl

No one was left with dry eyes. Josh had to take over to let Tyler take a breather.
"You are so beautiful Ruby" Josh started to say. "I don't know if Tyler told you, but he always used to have trouble with happiness and finding love. After you came along I never saw him feel that way ever again. You grew up so fast, I can't believe that Tyler is the way he is now, and it's because of you. Thank you for bringing my best friend in the best state of Mind" Ruby hugged her uncle for what seemed like forever.
The cake was thought out by Jenna. Everyone sang and lit sparklers, and the room was filled with laughter and joy.
Ruby wished for life to always be like that very moment.
Tyler got the first slice, only because Ruby told him to taste test.
A thumbs up from Tyler indicated that he did a good job picking the cake out.
Mark called out it was time for presents.
"Ruby please open this one first" Maddy handed her a small box.
Inside the box was a necklace. It was from the Joseph family. It had the word Joseph engraved in it. The note in the box said.
"You are and will always be one of us"
She put it on right away.
Jay of course gave her candy.
Jenna's family got her a plaque to hang in her room.
Josh's family got her a new bed set. It was a never before sold twenty one pilots set.
Josh gave her a copy of regional at best he'd been saving for more than ten years.
Jenna got her these shoes she's been dying for.
Her friends each got her small knickknacks to put on her bed stand.
Tyler was last.
"I want you to have the one thing that kept me alive. The one thing that have me hope. I want you to have my first piano. I hoped I could pass this onto someone one day, and you're the perfect person that could take care of this for me right?" He winked.
"I'll protect it with my life" she jumped into his arms giving him the biggest hug.

After the guests left the family went to change into their pajamas and sat in the living room.
"I think that today was the best day ever" Ruby said toying with the necklace that was around her neck.
"I think that you deserve today, I think you deserve the world" Jenna said, holding one of rings hands.
"And I think that I am the luckiest person in the world" Tyler said, holding her other Hand.
"I think I'm tired" Alex yawned and laid his head down in her lap.
