An Unexpected Turn Of Events (Loki Fanfiction)

Chapter 10

(A/N) Well updating regularly seems to have failed once again.. Anyways here's an update. Oh btw.. If any of you happens to be a Sherlockian, you should keep an eye out for my next story.. c;

*Loki's POV*
After we finished dinner, I grabbed Kaydens hand and led him out of the room. People were staring at us and whispering, but I couldn't really be bothered by it.
"Where are we going Loki?" I smiled at him. "Wait and see." Kayden sighed in frustration, obviously he didn't really like surprises.

After we walked through nearly the entire palace, Kayden realized he had been here before.
"Oh God, are we going to the horses again?" He asked. I laughed, and told him we weren't going there.
"Okay but if we're not going there... Then why are we back in the garden again?" "I want to show you something." I replied.

We walked in silence for a couple of minutes, until we reached a lake.
"I can't remember this being here before you came to Earth?"
"That's because it wasn't here back then. About a month after I took over, I ordered some people to start digging, and after about half a year, they dug out a massive hole. I let them fill it up with water, and the lake was created. I must say, I didn't expect it to become this beautiful."
"It really is beautiful though." Kayden said. "I love it Loki."

*Kayden's POV*
We stood there, just looking at our surroundings for a while, until I got an idea. I started to drag Loki towards the water. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Well.. It's summer, it's hot out here. Let's go for a swim in your lake." I answered as calmly as I could. Apparently I failed at trying to look calm, 'cause I could feel myself blushing. I didn't really know why I suddenly felt so confident, but when we reached the water, I took of my shirt and ran into the water. "Come on Loki! It's pretty nice to be honest."
After what seemed like an eternity of hesitation, Loki decided to take his clothes off and join me. Well.. Clothes? More like suit of armour honestly.
I couldn't help but stare at his body.
"Enjoying the view?" He smirked at me. 'Oh crap..'
"Well it's not like I've never seen anything like that before." I tried to act as if I wasn't even close to being freaked out over it, but couldn't manage to take my eyes off of him either.

Loki swam towards me and stopped only inches away from me. 'Why do you have to be so much taller dammit.' I thought. Loki grabbed me, and pulled me closer to him, close enough to let our bodies touch. I tensed up, surprised by his action. "Getting a bit nervous?" He jokingly asked. "N-not even close." I stuttered. Why did I have to stutter oh my lord.
Loki chuckled, and leaned in, until our lips nearly touched. He stopped for a second, as if he wasn't really sure of what he was about to do, but I suddenly felt his lips connect with mine. It wasn't rough kissing like I had imagined, it was a sweet but passionate kiss. He was trying to let his tongue enter my mouth, and I let him.

After what seemed like hours, he pulled back. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him, so he wouldn't see me blush. We stood there just holding each other for a couple of minutes, but eventually let go of each other.

It was getting dark by now and the water started to feel a lot colder all of a sudden. "I uh, I think we should get inside again. I gotta work tomorrow." "Hm, I think you deserve another day off." Loki answered. We started to get dressed again, and walked back inside, holding hands the entire time.

Once we reached the main hall, Loki stopped me. "Kayden, I'm not really used to this feeling, and I don't know exactly how to deal with it. What I do know is that I would really like it if you would spend the night with me instead of in your own room. Would you like that?" He asked.
"Wait. Just sleeping I assume?" "Well yes, I think one big step is more than enough for one night, and we already wasted that one on kissing. Do you want to?"
"I'd love to, Loki." I said. "But only if I'll actually get another day off." I added. "Of course. Do you need to get anything from your room first?"
"Well unless you want me to sleep naked, yes." I laughed. Now it was Loki's turn to blush, causing me to laugh even more. "Gosh you should see your face right now. Let's go, 'my king'."

I got some basic stuff from my room, just some clothes and my hair products, and we left to his room.
Once he opened the door, my jaw dropped. "Holy shit. Why can't I have a room like this?" "Because if you did, then I'd have to give all the guards a room like this."

Loki had a huge king size bed(then again, he is king), and the walls were decorated with gold. It had a massive bathroom, with a bath big enough for at least three men, and just like the bedroom it had gold decorations everywhere.
He had a desk at the window, and a whole collection of books was at the wall next to it.

"Jeez I could spend my entire life in this room Loki. I'd never get bored."
"Eventually you will. Trust me. You can get changed in the bathroom if you want, I will just wait until you're done."

After a few minutes I got back into the bedroom, and Loki was sitting on his bed, reading a book. "Bathroom is all yours. I'm done there." "Alright, back in a bit. Make yourself comfortable." He said while walking into the bathroom.

I got into bed, and God, those blankets were so ridiculously soft. I felt like I could I fall asleep immediately, but decided to fight it off till Loki got back. After a couple of minutes he came back, wearing only shorts, and I caught myself staring again. He smirked and got into bed as well. He pulled me closer, and kissed me again. I don't think I could ever get used to that feeling I got when we kissed. I felt like I was on some sort of drug, getting light headed, almost as if I could just faint. Eventually he pulled back, and wrapped his arms around me, holding me closer to him.
"Goodnight Kayden." He nearly whispered it, as if he was scared that someone might hear him.
"Night Loki. And thank you for today."
I closed my eyes, and fell asleep smiling like an idiot. For the first time in a few years, I actually felt happy again.

(A/N) Okay okay I know this is shorter than the last few chapters I did, BUT THEY KISSED. TWICE. AND THEY'RE IN THE SAME BED. OH MY GOD. And with that, I'll be going. It's 1AM and I have a job application at 9.30 AM. Gosh the things that I do for all of you(this is the part where y'all should be like "aw you're so nice" but suit yourself) xD
