"I'm telling you, we're not stupid. We know you have a thing for Mr. Fuentes." Tony said to Kellin while they both munched down their popcorn whilst I kept eating licorice.

"Can I watch SpongeBob and Patrick get to Shell City in peace?" Kellin shot back while focusing on the movie. We all crashed at Tony's house for the night before I had to go into work. They thought it was unfair that I had to work the night before my birthday, though I was actually exited. It was Rian's last day as boss. Starting tomorrow, Zack will officially own Rian's.

It's weird that I'm actually excited about this now, considering I was pissed about it back when I first heard the news. I mean, the main reason I was mad was because I was in jeopardy of getting exposed, but school's out for the summer, so it's not like it'll happen anytime soon.

The one question that's still roaming my mind is why did Mr. Merrick want a job as a strip club owner? Is he quitting his job as the biology teacher? He didn't sound like he was planning on it though. I'll ask him later when I get the chance to.

On the other hand, Tony and Kellin were now bickering about the plot of the movie we were watching.

"That doesn't even make sense!" Tony shouted, "How did Plankton manage to even get all of that technology down underwater anyways?"

"It's waterproof technology!" Kellin shouted back, "Is that not obvious?"

I laughed at them while focusing back to the movie. It was near the end and I had to go to work in thirty minutes. According to Ash, Rian didn't even plan anything for my birthday tonight since he was so busy with Mr. Merrick. It made me a bit mad, considering he threw one last year when I was barely working there for a month. I guess it's reasonable that he just didn't have time this year.

"Jack?" Kellin caught my attention by waving his hand in my face. I was confused at first, then realised that I must have zoned out or something.

"Yeah?"

"Your phone is ringing," Kellin said while nudging it on the floor towards me, focusing back on the movie afterwards. I looked down to notice that it was Ash. Why was she calling me? I don't go to work for another thirty minutes. Maybe she's just bored and just got off stage. Hayley's out of town this weekend so I should've expected a call. I picked it up and answered.

"Ash?" I asked while looking at the television screen again, not really paying attention to it now.

"Jack! Hi...Rian wants you to come in early, if that's fine. He wants to say farewell to everyone and the club might close early."

I looked at Kellin and Tony. They really were enjoying themselves with the movie. At least Kellin was. Tony has this annoyed look on his face.

"Yeah, I'll be there. Thanks Ash." I hung up after I heard a 'see ya' from her.

"Guys, I got called in early. I'm out," I said while getting up and passing the bag of licorice to Kellin. They both had me apologetic expressions. They just wanted me to have a fun seventeenth birthday but they won't even be with me when it officially starts...unless they come to the club with me or something. I know Tony wouldn't mind, but clubs are a huge no no for Kellin.

"Okay, see you tomorrow morning," Tony lifelessly responded. They both focused back to the movie. I shrugged and went ahead and left.
